Time to bring your A-game to LA |
Ó
Get ready for the next battle. Time's-a-tickin' Tekken lords! We're just a week away from finally getting our Tekken on at home. We're not the only ones hyped up about the arrival of Tekken 6 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, fighting game fanatics down at Hawthorne, CA are just as eager to get their game on. That's why they've come together to hold this kick-ass launch event this Saturday. Read up and learn more.
ACTivegamerS LA, in cooperation with SDTekken and Shoryuken.com, is bringing hundreds of Tekken fans together for a night of juggling, swaggin', and partying down in Hawthorne. This event is sponsored by Namco Bandai, Mad Catz, and you better believe it, Starbucks.
The event will see the public unveiling of the retail version of Tekken 6, where a live tournament will be held to see who's got real game. Prizes will include Tekken-themed goods like shirts, tattoo arm sleeves, hair pieces, and of course, an early copy of the game. For those who can't pwn in the tourney, you can just get your Tekken stuff at the Tekken Swaggin' Wagon, which will be packed with TapouT Tekken shirts and other cool Tekken stuff.
The event also gives you the chance to brush elbows with a few of the big names from the Tekken scene, such as:
- Alain Mazer from Namco Bandai Games, Inc.
- Joey “MrWizard” Cuellar – Founder of Evolution Fighting Game Championships
- Alex “CaliPower” Valle – World Renowned Fighting Game Champion; Official Namco Tekken Tag Tournament United States Champion
- Mike “MYK” Kwon – from I AM TEKKEN and MYK’s Tekken Time Podcast
- Mark “MarkMan” Julio – from SDTEKKEN.COM and designer of the Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition
- Vik “Castel” Steyaert – from Tekken Zaibatsu
This is all going down this Saturday, October 24th. If you're interested, check out the source for more info.

Why is all the good stuff out west. Wish I could walk out my house go around the corner and get smacked by a Tekken Tourney mob.
