Time reveals its 100 Most Influential People, Shigeru Miyamoto slips to 42nd **UPDATE** |
Listed in: Tags: Disney, Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, Steve Jobs

Like they say, once you're at the top, there's nowhere to go but down.
In Shigeru Miyamoto's case, he went down quite a bit. After being at
the top of Time 100 last year, the Nintendo gaming
mastermind drops to #42 of Time Magazine's list of the 100 most influential
people from various fields and industries. So who else made it to the list? With a dominating vote count of 16,794,368, the unnamed founder of the community website 4chan, "moot," takes the top spot. Coming at a very distant second is Malaysian Democratic icon, Anwar Ibrahim with 2,316,378 votes.
Other popular names on that list include Kobe Bryant at #9, Li'l Wayne at #12, Tina Fey at #15, and Pound-for-Pound champ Manny Pacquiao at #22. Barrack Obama is at #37, while Sarah Palin makes it to #81, which is funny because I seriously don't believe she's more influential than #89 Steve Jobs.
Shigure Miyamoto comes in at #42 with 614,641 votes, right below Disney pop princess Miley Cyrus at #41. Yes, Miley Cyrus is apparently more influential than Miyamoto. Funny as it sounds, it could be true, with all the exposure that Disney is giving "Hannah Montanna" who also has her own video game.
Who would you put at the top of your list?
**UPDATE**
If you read the first letters of #1-22, it says, "Marble Cake also The Game."
The list was hacked, and thus, the list ain't legit. We'll keep you posted on the real list if it comes out.
As for most influential games:

I'm not a fan of Eminem(or Marshall Mathers,) but you could honestly say someone like that is influential, taking rap music, keeping it the same, but really turning it in a different direction. When he was really big other people that weren't black started to try to get into the rap business because since Vanilla Ice, no one else attempted and if they did it was an extremely low profile group(this is not meant to be any sortof racial gesture.)
How about Thomas Edison. Practically made the lightbulb and we have different types, sizes, etc, made by many different companies.
I could name off a bunch of other people, but yeah. This list here is just *****ing retarded. Let's just throw a ton of extremely well known people, mostly overpaid actors or government officials, only a small number of them actually influential in the least compared to a ton of others who could be named.
Honestly, Uwe Boll is more of an influence than most of the people on this list. Sure his movies suck ass, but he's got a passion for developing movies from video games. Something that's been becoming more and more frequent.

Those games are a joke so I find it funny too. Seriously, while I'm not doubting those games can be fun. Why is it SO HARD to believe that when a dude's nuts drop, he actually loses all interest in Ninty games and his tastes have matured? I loved Mario 64 but I was a pre-teen in those days, I'm not saying that those games can't be enjoyed by an older audience. But why does every Ninty fanboy act like it's blasphemy to not enjoy a Nintendo game? Not calling you a fanboy, but keep in mind not everyone jizzes in their shorts for new Ninty games.
