TIGA announces 2007 awards finalists |

To celebrate the best of the best of last year, the Independent Game Developers Association (TIGA) has just released the list of finalists for their upcoming 2007 Awards. The event will be taking place in London on January 30, 2008.
In addition to the five constant categories for the awards, two new categories were added as well. "Best Technology" and "Best cross-media application of games" have been put to recognize efforts of the people.
In case you didn't know TIGA is a trade association that represents business and commercial interests of games software developers in the UK and Europe. 90 of the 113 members are independent developers.
Without much ado, here's the list of the finalists:
- Best PC/Console Game Developed by a TIGA Member 2007
- Geometry Wars: Galaxies (Wii, DS): Doublesix (Kuju Entertainment)
- Colin McRae: DiRT (Xbox 360, PS3, PC): Codemasters Studios
- Worms XBLA: Team 17
- Best Handheld/Console Game Developed by a TIGA Member 2007
- Geometry Wars: Galaxies: Doublesix (Kuju Entertainment)
- Crush : Zoë Mode (Kuju Entertainment)
- Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron: Rebellion
- Best Mobile Game Developed by a TIGA Member 2007
- Championship Manager 2008: Dynamo Games
- Sonic Jump: Airplay
- Tomb Raider Anniversary: Finblade
- Best Technology 2007
- The EGO Engine: Codemasters
- Super Rub a Dub Water Effect: Sumo Digital
- Alice Server: Nice Tech
- Best Cross Media Application of Games 2007
