Thrillville - Image 1LucasArts and Frontier Development are both thrilled with the success of Thrilleville, a game where players create and experience the theme park of of their dreams. And in case you're wondering how really happy they are, here's a snippet from the joint statement of the two companies:

The popularity of Thrilleville has ensured the brand's continuation as a premier children's gaming franchise. LucasArts will release information on the construction of new Thrilleville experiences in the coming months, including likely editions for consoles of the new generation.

Next-gen? Whoa, this game is going to rock with next-gen consoles. PS2, PSP, and Xbox owners have already experienced this game, and judging from sales data, it was well-appreciated. The game was originally released on November 21, 2006 for platforms PSP, PS2, and Xbox. And just six weeks after that, the number of copies sold already totalled more than half a million. According to the data produced by NPD Group, Thrilleville was also one of the best selling new IPs rated Teen or younger.

The most important question now is which next-gen console or consoles will get Thrilleville. We will keep you posted as news develops.

Let's hope that Lucas Arts jumps on the Wii bandwagon so we might be able to wield Light Sabers, and play this game as well!
