I
honestly love playing this game. I feel like a god when I'm making up
communities and thinking of new ways to make my nanny flirt with the
next-door neighbor. I love The Sims 2.The PSP version of this game though, does not appeal as much as its PC version. Sure, the setting of The Sims 2 for the PSP is interesting because it takes place in Strangetown (hint, hint), but there are details about the game that make it less interesting and less exciting than when you play it in your PC. Other than the differences when it comes to the interactions of characters, loading is also a bit of a hassle. When you do something in the game, like begin a conversation with another character or designing your house, the game loads for a second or two before you can go on with what you're doing. This disrupts the flow of the game. There's also no DNA (memories of what happens to them), the sims don't age, and they don't have memories of what happens to them.
The Sims 2 doesn't have a multiplayer play, so you're bound to be bored (or irritated with the relatively slow loading) with the single-player game. It would have been a really great game to have on your PSP, as what seems to be common these days, slow loading and lacking the gameplay we are used to from a game ported from another console.

I'm against piracy, but this is a game I really would like to play from a fast MS duo...
Really every step you take needs loading from the umd, when you open or close a stats or save game menu, you'll grow a beard..
People who don't like the PC Sims just might like the PSP version.. it's more like a story, Lot's of mysteries to solve and funny situations and plots..

Okay, the sims is an awsome game, I enjoy building my house and making everything look like I want it. But I find that the pc game (sims 1 not sims 2) gets boring quick. Therefore we see about 1 expansion pack every month, and they cost a good 30$+ which really pushes me close to the edge.
I hope the PSP version actually comes close to the sims 2 for ps, which is an awsome game (online :) :) :) :) )
