Knowing Kojima he is weird with puzzles, and this can only be solved with weird logic. Zone of the Enders 3 for 2009??? Ok, what if we just regard the last letter (digit) of each except of (since its a non-important preposition). zon"E" th"e" ender"S" "3" 200"9"

maybe the backwards 9 also say the other letters are backward, then the "S" is a "Z", the "E" a "3", the "3" a "E", then: "Z"one of the "E"nders "3" "9" obviously meaning it's coming this year

if its a new metal gear i hope the release is some time next year. maybe 4th quarter 2010. i love the entire metal gear and metal gear solid series. but with the release of mgs4 this seems like a bit of a rush to put out a new metal gear. but of course if hideo would be directing it then it would be perfect no matter what

IMO it's probably Kojima being Kojima and trying to throw us off the scent, since he must've known that people would be looking at the source. Here's hoping I get proven wrong though. I think that w0rmh01e's comment makes sense too: An announcement at E3, about Mi (Snake) and 5 (MGS5). I'll just be leaving to go back to the teaser site now :P

Raiden: Origins

The flash image on the teaser site and the little image of Raiden on Kojima's presentation a while back made me think about the conversation Snake and Raiden have in MGS4. "It was never going to work for me. It even rained on the day I was born." -Raiden, MGS4 "You've got it all wrong. You were the lightning in that rain." -Snake, MGS4 I have a theory it's another prequel, one that covers the origin of Raiden and his tour as a child soldier in Liberia under Solidus.

Yeah

I agree, although it's more commonly used as a Chinese Zodiac symbol. You don't see it used as Japanese too often, they usually use a different Kanji for "snake".

after watching it all the way through the first letter i was was E. if you turn that backwards its a 3. so maybe at E3 whatever this is will be announced.

Well

A lot of people think that. But if you didn't already know, it wasn't a small pic of Raiden at that presentation it was an april fools joke. The person was actually the colonel. A prequel with Raiden playable would be great. I'm not too big on prequels myself but I would not mind playing a game starring him. But I'm always more in the favor games that advance in story line rather than expand.

A friend of mine at work said that the 'small e' that people have been puzzling over looked like an @ to him, so in order, it would say - "5@E3" Seems pretty obvious, eh?
