TGS PSP

It's a sad, sad thing...one of the biggest features of the PSP remains also as the most underutilized. What exactly are we talking about? The handheld's wireless capabilities. Well yeah, we were able to use it with the 8-player Ridge Racer but other than that, there haven't been much knee-buckling games that support the PSP's wireless feature.

However, you'll be glad to know that game developers have been working on this because during the TGS, Sony gave out a PSP pamphlet that gives a rundown of the titles that will support the handheld's wireless, online, and Game Sharing features. We have a copy of the list with us, but before we share it with you guys, you should know that these are only 19 of the estimated 34 PSP games on the TGS floor, so no need to go amok if you don't see your favorite title on the list below, okay?

Wireless Local Play Only:
- Ape Escape Racer
- Winning Eleven 10
- Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception
- Gundam Battle Royale
- Boxer's Road 2: The Real
- Dynasty Warriors Mahjong

Online connectivity:
- Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - no news about what online features exactly, but we're thinking online battlemodes? online downloads? R&C also has wireless local play
- Monster Hunter Portable 2 - wireless local play up to 4 players and online connectivity, specifically, downloadable levels
- Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops - will also support wireless local and GPS
- Kingdom of Paradise 2: Busouden - battle gear are downloadable online
- Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology -- no multiplayer, but online leaderboard or downloadable dungeons perhaps?
- P-Kara - online features include connections to So-Net

Game Sharing/GPS:
-
Mahjong Fight Club: National Competition Edition -- Wireless local play, online connectivity and Game Sharing. The works!
- Hot Shots Golf Portable -- GPS support. Wireless gameplay support wasn't detailed out on the TGS version (which is not playable), but it is notable in its GPS use.
- Homestar Portable -- GPS support
- EDIA's GPS Navagation Software -- umm..need we state the obvious? alright, GPS support. This will let you navigate street corners in realtime using the GPS and local maps on UMD.
- Parappa the Rapper - Wireless local play and Game Sharing.

Also, so as not to get your hopes up, we'll also include the games that won't support any of PSP's connectivity features:
- Jeanne D'Arc (Level-5's strategy game)
- Final Fantasy: Crisis Core

There you have it, the list for the PSP games that will (and will not) utilize the PSP's wireless, online, or game sharing features. Just a reminder though, this is only 19 out of the 34 games, we have yet to bring you the other 15, so make sure to keep checking back with us for a list update.
