Tetsuya Nomura talks about next Kingdom Hearts title |

It's been a while since we heard anything about video game series Kingdom Hearts. But don't worry, the series' director Tetsuya Nomura has something special planned for fans as revealed by the latest issue of Famitsu. First and foremost, the next title in the franchise isn't going to be Kingdom Hearts III. Nomura explained that it will be a side story of some sorts, something similar to an anecdote that fits well with the KH universe he created.
The game director and character designer added that he's thinking of making this title "slightly different" from the series and alter the game's system.
Furthermore, Nomura maintained that the series main character Sora will still fill a big role in the new game but there's the desire to develop the storyline of other characters. He explained,
I did nothing but talk about "Birth by Sleep". Also, I want to explain what Mickey did in the World of Darkness, and also how he got his keyblade. I have a feeling that I want to work on developing Roxas the most. It is interesting to create in one year, the birth of him, and then next, the disappearance of him.
Aside from the above mentioned information, Tetsuya Nomura shared just one more detail: the next Kingdom Hearts title could appear on the PlayStation Portable (PSP), DS, and mobile phones.

If ANYTHING the series undermines Final Fantasy/SE games. Atleast, I thought that way before the first KH game out. Now I love the series.

It was kind of stupid to put it on GBA, I mean, true, it was the only major handheld out before sony made one, but not every person that owned a PS2 and played KH had a GBA. So not everybody got to play COM, and resulting in some or most people not being completely filled in when KH 2 came out. So a remake would be good.
i think they should make KH2 final mix for america because there is so much better stuff like kingdoom hearts final mix. but a psp version is what everbody want but if its on the ds i wouldnt care because i would by it.

I personally don't care if it comes for either, I'll buy it, though it would seem to be a better match with the PSP, but if they change enough of it the DS would be good for it
I hope it doesn't come to PSP. It's just. I don't like the controls on the PSP. The buttons are somehow worse than PS2. It's much better feeling when playing on PS2.
I want to play my KH at a big screen (well.. At least 20") and extract all fun of it. It's just not the same on the PSP. Battery runs out all the time, effed up controls, little screen, worse graphics, shorter game etc etc. I hope it will come to PS2 (or 3).
Now don't get me wrong... It would be cool if it came for PSP AS WELL. That means it's okay as long as PS2 (or 3) gets it too.
Sony will never get good sales cause of home brew even if psp gets good titles like god of war and devil may cry and now kingdom hearts the psp wont do good cause home brew psp is being killed by it.
The battle system is the most retarded point of KH. You just mash X and you win. They better change it.
even though i have a psp i don't think that the new kh should be for psp but should keep it at ps2 or ps3. everyone's who played kh and kh2 r used to the simple ps2 controls, it would be very difficult to put those same controls on a psp.

Sorry guys but KH2FM was nomuras last PS2 game so the portable systems and PS3's are their only options.
If ANYTHING, this game better come out for the Wii..... imagine the possibilities of the controls..... the money.... more fans...... yup, it better come out for the Wii!
