The title says it all. It seems like the Tenchu franchise isn't completely leaving Sony's consoles for greener Nintendo pastures (or rice patties, in this case). According to a recent issue of Famitsu, Tenchu 4 is getting a PSP version and will be coming out in Japan by February 2009.
It seems rather interesting to me, since I would have thought the DS would provide a more faithful reproduction of the Wiimote-motion heavy game. Since From Software has already promised a full Tenchu trilogy for the Wii, I'm sure Nintendo would be happy to provide significant dev support on DS versions where needed.
Then again, PlayStation styled controls are already tried and tested on previous Tenchu games so I suppose the PSP is a logical enough choice over a revolutionary but more risky DS port.
With the English Wii version of the game set to be released in North America by March 31 2009, we can expect the English PSP version won't be too far behind... I hope.
