Tecmo cutting controversies out of their Wikipedia page |

With the resignation of former president Yoshimi Yasuda and the legal tussle with Tomonobu Itagaki, Tecmo sure had a pretty rough 2008. But just when you thought that it's late into 2009 and they've moved on with their lives, well, they haven't. Kotaku reports that Wikipedia caught the publisher trying to edit details of last year's events out of its own Wikipedia page.
How'd they find out? It seems that a user with an IP address belonging to the publisher was responsible for the editing. The changes involve the aforementioned events in 2008, trying to obscure info and intricacies on the matters and who has left the company.
But if you would take a look at the page in question, it seems that ever-vigilant Wikipedia users have made sure that factual information remains, so the info is more or less accurate. Wikipedia has now addressed Tecmo, telling the publisher to quit editing their own page.

I felt they were a huge thorn on Tecmo, a huge fanboy and constantly made EVERYTHING exclusive to MS, not counting Dragon Sword for DS.
Tecmo is a business and they wanted to get the most revenue. The funny thing ever is Itagaki got pissed over Sigma 1 saying it's nothing he hasn't done, yet he didn't make a PS3 game to show how it was done, but also turned NG2 into an unpolished game. It makes me think that he lost that touch and perhaps a new move in who directs and produces NG and DOA was for the better.
Itagaki may be a great developer like Kojima but I felt NG2 wasn't really great. The only thing it had going for it was the blood.
