We can expect more PSP titles to swing the 5.55 way, it seems. The list gets longer, so let's just hope that the gods of hack-Olympus bring their blessings down when the time comes.

I swear you staff members are slow. This has been known for a while now. All of the new games coming out are requiring 5.55.

And this isn't mission based like the Radiant Mythology games, although those two games were badass.
This one is based on other Tales characters against each other in a sortof fighting game. Since Tales is basically like a fighting game even when playing the regular titles. This game is going to be extremely badass. Go look it up.
Also. Isn't Dissidia releasing in the US as 5.55? I think that's what the demo was according to a friend of mine.

This 5.55 crap is discouraging though. Thankfully, I'm preordering Dissidia, and I'll play it on OFW, and then just Pandora downgrade to do anything else. It'll be a hassle, but it'll have to suffice until an upgrade comes out.

you could allways rip to pc and play the iso on psp becasue you can rip out extra's and by doing this we can bypass the protection with a couple plugins (idont know if the current still work)

I will go and upgrade to OFW 5.55 right now.
Then I will go and cut my own balls off and put them in the microwave for lunch lol.

Idiot."
Yeah, you do realize that Sony is the one forcing the OFW 5.55. That's the reason I mentioned Sony. Idiot.
And Dissidia will suck, too. Fighting games are garbage, especially on the PSP. This one will be no different since it is traying too far from it's roots as a Tales of series.

I though i was the only one that remembered that had this plugin >_>
Everyone 'omg updates' but i think that the plugin will come handy.
UNLESS the game requires an unknown file from OFW 5.55 to boot.

It's a good thing Sony forces 5.55, that in one way, helps gamers get games they would really want legitimately. Also, in case you haven't noticed, but Dissidia is doing quite well in terms of sales. Though it hasn't reached to 1mil mark yet...not that many games have on the PSP. It hasn't been a year yet, but I'm 100% sure that by the time it reaches it's one year mark since it's release, Dissidia sales would be well over 1mil. Also, look at Tekken, in case you haven't noticed either, Tekken is one of the best portable, if not, the best, portable fighting game there is atm. With the soon to be release Soul Caliber and Tekken 6 games, I'd say the fighting games on the PSP some of the best the system, and the gaming industry has to offer.

WHat I may well do is just pick up another PSP and use that for official releases. Given that I can emulate anything I care about (mostly CPS2 and SNES games) on CFW, I'm not willing to give it up. I'm sure Sony have thought of this and are rubbing their hands at the prospect of selling more Go! units, but since 20 of the 42 games I own are imported, I'll go for a 3000, as I'm sure will many others.
A 5.5CFW would be a nice fix, but DAX has earned a rest I think.

3000 users can't downgrade at all... so, I wouldn't want to be a 3000 user and a Final Fantasy fan! lol
