Take-Two's Zelnick happy with VAC decision for Manhunt 2 - Image 1It seems that the winds are slowly blowing Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive's way with regards to the highly controversial video game Manhunt 2 for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable platforms.

Just a couple of hours ago, we learned that the decision of Video Appeals Committee to give the title "another look" and re-consider its ban status had been heeded by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).

Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick is now very pleased with BFC and especially with the Video Appeals Committee which seemed to have sided with them. Zelnick said:

We are committed to making great interactive entertainment, while also marketing our products responsibly and supporting an effective rating system. We are pleased that the decision of the VAC has recognized that Manhunt 2 is well within the bounds established by other 18+ rated entertainment.

BBFC, lastly, said that it is currently considering its options.
