Taito Legends Power-Up! - Image 1As wee little QJ younguns, we used to love that stupid ninja who had an unlimited number of shuriken to lob around. Now, we're glad to see that The Legend of Kage has come back from the land of the dead to grace our PSPs in the upcoming American release of Taito Legends Power-Up!

A representative from Destineer Studios confirmed that the previously European-only release would be headed to U.S. shores. While this is great news for Taito fans looking for a compendium of games on their PSP, Xbox 360, and PC owners will still have to wait for any word of a Legends release for them.

In the meantime, we've listed the games that'll be part of the lineup for Taito Legends Power-Up below. Enhanced versions indicate that the game will be getting both the original version of the game and an updated game, though you can assume that it's going to be a graphical upgrade beyond anything else.

they need to do a sega saturn collection. Bug!, panzer dragon saga, shining force 3, nights, etc. I still wonder why both the saturn and dreamcast failed.

Cutesey little yellow bird rescues his friends on each level. Sort of like a Rainbow Islands-style platformer.

Do a google image search and look for screenshots.

Do they realize that anyone that has a psp can probably download flash games like these (maybe better) and play it on their psp for free?

Taito Legends got a lot of bad press online, but I enjoyed the European release. True, some of the Space Invaders games (and their variants) are of no interest, but games like Elevator Action and Rastan make the purchase worthwhile. (I'd also mention Qix, but the MAME emulator already handles that game well.) I just wish they could have included Taito's Zoo Keeper in this collection. That game alone would be worth the admission price.
