Survey for Galaxy's End - help Tiki finish the game |
Ó
The PSP-exclusive RTS, Galaxy's End, was never finished since Tiki Games needed a publisher to get the game into the stores. But thanks to the PlayStation Store, things are looking up - Tiki can now finish the game and release it as a digital download.
The problem doesn't end there, unfortunately. Finances aren't doing so well, and they don't have enough to finish Galaxy's End. This is where we come in (and no, they're not asking for money). Kevin McCann, President and Creative Director of Tiki Games, has this simple request:
If you feel you would purchase a well-designed and fun real-time strategy game for the PSP near the end of 2009 then I'd appreciate if you can email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with a simple "Finish it" in the subject line.
With this, McCann will be able to convince potential contributors and investors that there is a large enough audience out there that would be willing to purchase and download Galaxy's End. Right now, they're looking at the price to be around US$ 20.
With one quick email, we'll be helping a new title into our PSP. Now open a new tab and exercise your gaming rights!

Sounds like these guys could use all the support they can get right now. Hopefully they can generate enough interest in this.
I have already emailed them with the said Subject line.
The game looks promising. I hope it doesn't suck.
I wonder if the new PSN twist will allow for more games to come out that didn't have to money or pretige to get a publisher. If Sony was smart, they would release a home dev kit to buy and make a division that approve homebrew games to be sold in a special section of the PSN. It would also give developers with small budgets a chance to dev for the system.
Probably won't happen because sony would be afraid of people reverse engineering the dev kit and making more "illegal" homebrew. Which WOULD happen. Oh well. At least the PSN lets smaller companies bypass producers and save some green that can go into making better games.
I'll probably email them...get 'er done!
I sent my email did you?
