Superman Returns

Superman was further immortalized as a superhero after Electronic Arts announced that a videogame based from this year's box office hit film Superman Returns. The game is already being developed by EA Tiburon for Xbox 360, PSP and Nintendo DS. Featuring a virtual Metropolis, this single player game allows its players to have a first-hand experience of Superman's kyptonian abilities. Players must need to master these superhuman skills in order to combat an array of enemies like Metallo, Mongul and Bizarro, and save the lives of Metropolis' citizens.

Players are free to roam the 80 square miles expanse of Metropolis, with over 10,000 buildings. Having a large area for gameplay, players won't run out of missions to accomplish as changes in the city also affect Superman's progress in the game. The game is slated to be released November 20 this year so while waiting, check out these cool artworks for Superman Returns:

I hate to say this, but this game was cancelled or PSP. The gem looks amazing for 360 and ps2 though

You say this game has been cancelled for the PSP ? So, where is your source of information then, hey dumb ass ? If you are going to comment on something, then at least show some proof or direct us to a reliable source to back up your claim.

I say that this came will be released for the PSP in November and here is my proof: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId+7787059+type+product+id+1142290253615

As you will see, the release date for this game is on Best Buy's site. I suppose you think that both Best Buy and PSP Updates don't have there reliable sources, and are probably lying to us all hey ?

No need to be so hostile buddy. I'm personally a big PSP fan and proud owner, and I happen to collect Superman comics, so I'd be the first person to be bummed about this game not being released.

As far as Best Buy listing it, Best Buy has listed games that have been dropped many, many times, such as the Batman Begins game being released on the PSP, or listing Final Fantasy 7 for the PS3 (which Square has said many, many times wont be happening).

As for my evidence hot shot, http://psp.ign.com/objects/826/826320.html

That 3rd and final link was Neal Bailey's report from EA. He was flown to their studio and allowed to play the game, he wrote a three page preview on the game, where he specifically states:

"They did cancel the PSP version because it wasn't good enough to meet their standards. Most art-for-money endeavors don't really care about quality as long as there's a chance to make money. They also delayed the game for quality. That seems like a strike to some people. To me it's a boon."

So: get the hell off my back and find something better to get all pissy about ( :',

# Game looks good, movie = lameGuest 2006-10-16 09:08
Hopefully the game won't be anywhere near the story of the movie, and so far it looks like its not, so thats good, cause in the movie, superman didn't fight at all, he didn't throw any punches, or crush any bad guys with metal or concrete, he just got beat up on, and there was no super powerful nemesis for a titanic and epic battle..... thats not the real superman I tell you. So hopefully the game will be the complete opposite of the movie, and actually be fun to watch and play.
