It's always sad to hear news like this one: Stormfront Studios, developer of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Eragon (Xbox 360, PSP, PC) and other games, recently shut down its studios due to unfavorable business-related circumstances. According to a Stormfront representative, their current project failed to generate any revenue.

The representative also mentioned to Next Generation that they were not able to secure certain key projects. "Frankly, we didn't get pitched...the economy is such that the projects we weren't winning, ended," the spokesman added.

Stormfront's 33 employees were informed of the closure on Monday. There are currently no future plans for Stormfront and its employees as of this writing.

Stormfront Studios had a good run for the past 20 years, having worked on Madden and NASCAR gaming franchises, as well as Neverwinter Nights, Stronghold, Blood Wake, and a host of other titles.

At 33 employees chances are they were only hired for parts of any of the games mentioned....

As such all the employees will probably be swallowed up by EA or Ubisoft now anyways.....and now they don't have to hire small studios to do menial parts of their games.....

life is a cycle...
