So what? SSX is such an awesome game, I'd go the extra mile. It's TEN ****ING DOLLARS, for god's sake. I'll wait for reviews of course, but if the framerate, graphics, and gameplay are solid (which I suspect they will be) this looks like one to buy.
I suspect the ISO may be pretty large as well given the amount of **** in this game and EA's propensity for extra content...and I have a small stick. *shrug*
Well now you have a small stick AND you are $50 poorer.

Yeah, I love the SSX series too... some of the most enjoyable games this generation for consoles.
But here's the problem. One, why should it cost more than the console counter parts? That makes no sense. I don't care if it's "just" ten dollars, they developed the game for consoles and all they had to do was port it to the PSP. So why the extra cost?
Two, what about those of us that are already planning on buying the game for one of our consoles? If I buy the game for the XBox for $40, why should I spend another $50 for the an inferior version (compared to console version) of the same exact same game? I love SSX, but I'm not spending $100 (tax incl) on the game.
I think people who buy the PSP version should get a large discount on the console version or vice versa... it's the same game.
I'll wait for the ISO.
it costs more on the psp than ps2/xbox/gcm?
Yeah, that's crazy. I might have bought this title at $40, but no way am I giving EA $50.
Nice
Now it's only a matter of time until the iso will be released:)
I would of forked over the cash at 39.99 but 49.99 is too much. I will get the ISO good job EA for loosing money.
yeah im confused as well why is the handheld more then the console counter-part. I really hope this is just a type-o but i doubt it since EA has already stated many times over that they fell their handheld products are the cream of the crop
HECK YES! SSX was an awesome series of games. As for costing $10.00, wtf is wrong with you guys? are you THAT poor?
Don the game is 49.99. Most expensive for any system. Everybody else is 39.99
I don't think it's just a matter of batchcopy *.* > PSP, getting it on a different machine is a different process and a whole different set of developers.
And I'm sure the justification for it is that with overhead on the project at a fixed level, the extra $10 is needed to cover that overhead because there aren't as many potential PSP customers as PS2 customers.
That said, it feels abusive. It's like they're taking advantage of the fact that there are few games worth buying right now for the PSP. And that's all fair in market-price and war, but $50 for another SSX game that doesn't support Internet multiplayer makes it actually NOT worth buying. At least for me. I'd rather just save my money for X-Men, LOTR, Infected, Popolocrois, GTA, or any of the other upcoming titles that might be worth spending $50 on.
Come to think of them, none of those are either.
