cool

Einhander was a very hard 2d Shooter, I had both of these games before 2000 and they were fantastic!

finally!

Why did they wait this long? Granted, I've already finished Xenogears on my PSP three times, but I love the game so much I would've been willing to pay for a PSP download had they released it earlier. Krelian's still the prettiest villainous bishie I've seen. Oh well, hopefully, they'll fix the numerous grammar errors this time. Maybe fix the dubbing, too? Chrono Cross and Parasite Eve should definitely be officially ported, also. Now if they could just release it in North America soon.

come to think of it

speaking of Chrono Cross... Why not Chrono Trigger as well? It's not a PS1 game per se, since it was originally on the SNES. But! They can put Chrono Trigger on the PSN as it was re-released on the PS1 under the Final Fantasy Chronicles pack back in 2001. Yknow. The one with the anime cutscenes. That was pretty fun too. ;-)

WHOAMG o_0

sorry for another follow up comment. I just had a brain fart. While the prospect of having Chrono Trigger on PSN does sound appealing... what they can do is remaster it in HD! Much like Street Fighter. Could you imagine that?!?! Chrono Trigger HD! With the FF Chronicles anime cutscenes, of course. That'd so pwn!!!

hmm yeah

I'd actually look forward to the upgraded Chrono Trigger more

So unfair

I would buy this game again if only they would release it in these parts of the world.

I still have Xenogears!

I agree that it is a pretty cool game. I'm glad I haven't parted from it!

porting vs remaster

porting these games are EASY. because both PS3 and PSP have PS1 emulators. take about 20 mins or less to make it an eboot file. remastering requires S-E to take the source code, update the images (artist re-drawing is lots of work) and recompile it. if they want to update the engine, that's easily double the work. porting non-PS1 games is just as much if not more work than remastering. on a business end, it might not be worth the "costs"... even if lots of consumers would enjoy it. so... in the mean time, i think they'll stick to just porting over PS1 games... i'm also hoping one of them is Vagrant Story, if it isn't already part of the "Ivalice Alliance" program.

Vagrant Story

If they ever remake Vagrant Story I'm getting it. As for Ivalice Alliance, I hope they do include a new Vagrant Story game in it. Even if it's not a Matsuno game, I'd still buy it if only to give it a whirl.

What about

ME!!! i dont ahve a ps3 im a po'boy. . . is there a way to access PSN without one? say on a psp or just over the comp? xenogears was one of the best ps1 titles i ever played, and ps1 had some great stuff.
by Uplink - 2008-06-26 04:46:14
yea

Chingao

Eigo No "Version" Condo Desu! America-jin Pureisuteshun Netuwoku Chotto Matte Ne! At least this is Great News, Square PS1 Title are the most worthy games to be ever re-released. Xenogears is the best ps1 game for me, easily rivaling MGS on the top spot. Up to this day i still hate Xenosaga(namco) and still wishes for a glorious 3D version of xenogears (best i can get is the ultra high res emulation of epsxe), and i would gladly appreciate if Xenogears can be re-imagined for PS3. Ultra Detailed Weltall anyone?

Chrono Trigger

is also a real PS1 game. TOSE japan ported it from SFC to PS1, then also published by Square hence it is also very possible that Chrono Trigger will appear later on PSN. I believe i played 20x more Chrono Cross than Chrono Trigger coz its more FF8-esque graphically and gameplay is more refined. And dont forget those ultra boring yet i cant put the controller down n stop playing games called SaGa Frontier And SaGa Frontier 2. (Unlimited Saga - How i hoped it never existed)
