Square Enix also considering DLC for future Final Fantasy titles |
Ó
Adding DLC on Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) is not the only thing that Square Enix is taking into consideration. Yoshi Kitase reveals that they are in fact considering putting downloadable content to future Final Fantasy titles.
At the GamesCom event, Kitase explained (via translator) that:
As far as DLC is concerned, there is no solid plan at the moment for FFXIII. However, we've been listening to overseas fans in Europe and America and are aware that DLC is very popular and something that people really want. So it's definitely being considered for future projects.
Yes, listening is good, so do listen well to your fans, please, Square Enix. If you really want to prove that you do listen to what your loyal followers are saying, you can start by stop considering and actually put DLC on FFXIII.

this is what SE needs to do to keep PS3 versions of their games the better one, and at least release DLC for 360 that can handle much stuff in a DVD
ohh a fanboy
but i kind of dont want DLC, not for RPGs at least....i want a FULL game if i spend my hard earned $60 on it
but maybe a few little things on the side is acceptable, but nothing like a continuation of the game or anything.....and the price has to be reasonable too (looks at SF4's monkey a**)
Why you cry? grab a tissue ...but really, if people choose the Xbox or the PS3 developers shouldn't care of making versions the same or "fair" due to limitations of the competitor, people chose the box or the station...
another venue for square enix to milk their franchise. Can you imagine them adding DLC items, DLC clothing, hell even a DLC ending.
That would be going overboard. I know people would buy it...but overboard.
DLC on a game now that's a shocker.. Rpg's are supposed to be strongly story lead games so charging people to get the full story is just very wrong.
it could be just extra missions that only level up your stats and dont affect the story development
That's how most RPG DLCs this gen are. Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon has that.
But you the BS with this is that they can just cut a level off of the real game and sell it. Hopefully $queenix doesn't get the EA and Capcom habit by selling things that are part of the original game.
If $queenix really wants more money they should port Star Ocean 4, Infinite Undiscovery, and the Last Remnant to the PS3 even though they are crappy. It should be easy for them from what they're saying since they do have "Crystal Tools". Seriously many PS3 owners will buy them.
im not crying
WhoTF are you replying to
hm...lack of sense of humor I see...you people are hopless
I find that to be a stupid move, I mean...Japanese love RPG more than the rest of the world and yet they release those in the console that is less popular in Japan, I know it sells more anywhere else but RPG's are not as big deal as they are to Asians in general, just like we love Shooters and they dont like them that much, we like RPG but not as much as them
If they are already planning dlc then why not add it to the game before it's released? I don't want them jacking me of more money when something should have been in the game in the first place. Instead of dlc why don't you guys start planning for a new game instead of waiting years to release a lackluster title, G.D.I.!!!
Hehe I can see it now.
"PS3 DLC --- Super Secret Boss, Super Secret Cameo Party Member, Insane Difficulty, Unlock FF13 Agito content - ALL FREE! HAVE FUN DUDES!"
"360 DLC --- Potion Pack (Includes a High Potion!)- 200 MSP"
this is why i don't like square enix anymore. they have moved away to making good quality games to release as much ***** as possible with final fantasy plastered all over it.
I think the reporter forgot about the DLC for the FF retro game for WiiWare - FFIV: The After Years.
That you're a Sony Fanboy D-bag.
Go play in the Romper Room with FeliusCatusLove r or whatever his name is.
"*sniff sniff*"
Well... you were either crying or have a cold...which is it? LOL
