Special edition Crisis Core slim PSP announced for Japan |

Square Enix has spilled the beans on the contents of the Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Limited pack for the Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The special edition pack was announced at the PlayStation Premier press conference in Tokyo.The pack includes a silver PlayStation Portable adorned with a Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII logo and an image of Zack and Cloud at the back. The PSP included in the Crisis Core bundle will be one of the new slim model PSPs. The limited edition PSP unit will also come bundled with an exclusive Buster Sword strap and a copy of the game.
The Crisis Core bundle will be in Japanese retail stores on September 13 with a price tag of 25,890 yen (US$ 212). Only 77,777 of these babies will be produced and, judging by the franchise's popularity, it looks like they'll be selling quite fast.

sony is going good with the thin psp's now they've got 2 special editions, star wars en final fantasy, first u ask urslef if ur gonna buy a new psp, when u do u still have to decide which one! good sony good

The new PSPs come out on September 20th in Japan. Maybe this is the old one (as unlikely as it may seem).
OMFG! I really want one of those....
please fix pspupdates. it is god damn slow, i had to refresh this page 7 times just to get it to load. get rid of all the ads by tribal fusion and also page2 google ad, cause that is what slows down this site the most. i trust qj with all my downloads but i need to find another site from where i get my news from if this problem is not addressed. thank you for your cooperation. back on subject, this psp looks sweet. i will not be buying it cause it most likely will never be homebrew capable. but if the psp slim ever gets hacked im buying this one.

all they have to do is have enough parts to produce 77,777 PSPs as the article claims... and that's that. yes, it's a week before the official launch... but do you believe that they would be producing ALL launch consoles within a few days or something? it takes time to assemble them... and a week is nothing. heck, Sony could've easily allowed the special editions to be at the front of the queue, allowing them to be assembled first, before anything else.

Is there going to be a preorder option? Also, are PSP region locked? I figured that the Crisis Core won't be in english... But I think it's still worth it.

soz to dissapoint but its definately slim look where the speaker holes are, and also no perferations along the top edge. I like it but wouldn't get it coz its the slim and i really really dnt like the look of the slim umd drive door, EXTREME FLIMSINESS FTL infact the whole psp looks a bit flimsy to me.

Hey why does japan always get the goods? First Last Order, now this! come on squeenix give the UK somethin good for once, i just want the keychain, the designs on the psp and the different box cover!, aw to hell with it i want it all!!! I. If the PSPs themselves aren't region locked (I don't think they are?) the games will still be in Japanese and whatnot
For the Kingdom Hearts series, both "final mix" versions were only available to the Japanese public. This sort of exclusive Final Fantasy thing makes me strongly believe they aren't planning to bring it to the US. Also, as someone stated before about the region locks, there is no region locks on the games, but there IS a region lock on movies. If you're going to buy this, consider that you won't be able to watch movies on this. Also, I'm going to wait a little on this special edition - Sony has made it seem quite rushed, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's glitches with the new PSP hardware, i.e. sticking pixels, UMD door, improper disk reader. Lastly, since I already have a nicely working PSP I'd only want to get that elusive buster sword keychain...
