Red Cliff DVD - Image 1

So. Are you a fan of Chinese movies? Maybe you're a fan of John Woo films? Or maybe... you just find Zhao Wei hot? (Or if you swing the other way, Takeshi Kaneshiro, hmmm?) Whatever the case, the DVD for Red Cliff (Part 1) is just about to be released in DVD form in Japan.

So why is this posted in the PSP section? Well, since the movie is related to the Three Kingdoms history, Koei decided to pounce on the opportunity and promote their latest game for the PSP: Dynasty Warriors: Multi-raid (Strikeforce in the west).

People who buy the Red Cliff DVD - whether standard or limited edition - will get a coupon (see top-right portion of pic above) revealing a code which will unlock special armor for the Multi-raid characters.

Dynasty Warriors: Multi-raid gets released in Japan this Thursday, Feb 26, while the DVD of Red Cliff (oh just Google it, if you're curious about the movie) rolls out on March 11. It's yet to be confirmed if other regions will get similar promotions.

Um..

I love this movie and this game to an extent and all but the movie characters look nothing like the game characters -.- I'm pretty sure the movie is more accurate in looks but seriously just would look weird in my opinion. Imagine the new Dragonball game for PSP mixed in with the anime characters. O wells no point to complain since its optional and free w/ the purchase of Red Cliff. Though I'm pretty sure the code will be the same and someone would post it on gamefaqs.com on the the cheat/code section. But unlike this game Dragonball's characters is not optional.
