Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny - Image 1Looks like a lot of you crossed your fingers real tight for the North American release date of Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny to be slated at a reasonable time from Japan's August 27 schedule.

Namco Bandai's announced the NA release date, and as it turns out, you won't have to wait too long for it anymore.

September 1 is the day for Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny to come out to your local retail stores. That's just a little over a month away. This iteration from the Soul Calibur franchise brings the combat system to Sony's handheld, and will feature the sleeve knife wielder Dampierre, Kratos' icon, and a single player training mode.
