Sony Booth at GDC 09

Well guys! Sony's booth at GDC had the PS3 console running in 3D. Yup! Both Motor Storm 2 and GT 5 required 3D glasses in order to enjoy the beautiful graphics; and trust me it was awesome! If you think the PS3 is good enough as it is, wait until you try out the games in 3D^2. Well hopefully Sony announces the release of the 3D feature on the PS3 console on the 31st.

I doubt KH3 (if that's the game they announce) will be a PS exclusive though. They're doing two handheld titles right now along with that mobile phone game...which I think is also coming to PSP, though I'm not sure on that one.

This would be awesome, but you need a display that has a 120+ hz refresh rate for it to work really well. Hopefully they won't lock out the feature if you don't have a 120+ hz display like Nvidia does, but IDK how well it works at 60hz.

since when has Sony needed to make a big announcement for a FW update? Usually it'll just be mentioned on the blog a few days before but that's about it. Not since the arrival of in-game XMB has there been a big event for a FW release.

Yeah, I paid SEK 5630 for mine in Sweden. That is 867 US dollars counting with the currency as of November 2007, when I bought it. In today's numbers, it is 600 dollars. Electronics is very expensive in Europe, or it is extremely cheap in the US. Anyway, I haven't regret it a single day since. I use it for everything - gaming, music, video, photo slideshows, even checking my email and other important stuff when I don't want to turn on the computer.

For all we know they might have improved online gaming to the point where PSN is at the same quality as LIVE. I have noticed certain things on the PS Store, and log in issues :s. if it is such an improvement it would be well worth the big announcement, and who knows maybe they have added ps2 bc. all I know is we were promised a new fw this month

Because the Xbox 360 (which breaks down after 12months, has no hard drive unless you pay for one on-top of the console price, monthly subcription to play online and heats up to the point of burning itself out) is a far better console than the ps3 (which only have a blu-ray drive, upto 80Hdd, FREE online gaming, better graphics and remote play funtions).

Better graphics? That's why PS3 games have a lower resolution, lack AA and sometimes look blurrier than 360 games. I didn't buy a 360 until 6 months ago and haven't had a problem with it. It's quiet, amazing graphics (1080p on everything, either native or upscaled). Even with a HDD it was still cheaper than a PS3.

Play star wars unleashed on the Xbox and then on the Ps3 theres a massive difference in qulity. the blu-ray on a ps3 can hold FAR more information per disk than an xbox ever could, henec more space for better qulity games. Trust me. I had an Xbox 360, it has loads of good games but lacks in graphics.

I think they are going to announce the PS2 Portable that will have BC with psone and older psp games. That would be Epic. Sony loves to deny the rumors that are really truth, they love to deny with all their hearts only to tell you all you were right, it's good but not great marketing.

Haha, oh wow, I don't even know where to begin. For one, have you ever seen games like MGS4 and Killzone 2 running? Go check those out in 1080 and then come back and talk. And quiet? The 360? Might be, but I know my friend's isn't. It grinds when he loads up disks, on the other hand, my PS3 never makes anything than a small humming noise to cool itself off. So it's not like the PS3 is some monster grinding machine. And about the whoooole graphics area, you know something, you have a point! A fair (but not ALL, mind you) of third-party games look better on the 360--because they were designed/programmed for the most part on that system. You know the funny thing about that, though? You can BARELY tell a difference unless you're looking at side-by-side images or the like! While actually playing the game, you don't notice it at all! Same with games that look better on PS3--you can't even tell in real practice! And about the 360's price, if you upgrade it to do all the things the PS3 can do out of the box, it's just around the same--if not more than the PS3. So don't bring that up. tl;dr - They're both great systems with a lot of pros and cons to them, so quit the fanboyism and enjoy some games and media. Honestly now, you're not payed by Sony of Microsoft to defend their product, so don't do it till you get that paycheck.

im also amazed at their persistence to turn almost all sony related news to a fanboy war. in terms of games and graphics the 360 is not that much better than the ps3 and vice versa. one console may have a very slight edge in graphics but not in a way that makes the other ugly or unplayable. but of course fanboys will not accept such fact. they will still throw tantrums and believe that their console of choice is superior in every way. i admit i have never been an xbox fan (always a sony or ninty) but i acknowledge its capabilities as a good gaming machine. if i stick to one side, the only person that will be losing is me. its great that i can enjoy games be it exclusive to whatever platform.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will very likely be PS3 exclusive.

Think about it. The KH team is currently working on Versus XIII, which is exclusive to the PS3. This will give the team the know-how to develop for the PS3. The team has never worked before on an X box or PC developers kit. The team will come out Versus XIII with a complete comprehension of the Cell Processor. Sure they have Chain of Memories, Birth by Sleep and 365(number?)/2 days for other platforms. But all of those are side stories that people aren't required to have but provide insight (think Crisis Core to Final Fantasy VII). I doubt that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be for the Wii or 360. Especially when the Kingdom Hearts team at the moment only has experience in developing for the PS3.

The 360 does have beter graphics than PS3 games, most importantly has Anti-Aliasing. The 360 has like a 67% of breaking before 2 years. My opinion, none of the consoles is really that good (I own a PS3 and have played 360 quite a bit so I should know). When we get a console as revolutionary as the N64 plz wake me up +)
