Sony to make big announcement at Leipzig - Image 1

Sony fans should be tuning into the Leipzig Games Convention as the electronics and gaming giant is planning to make the Leipzig event their main platform for making big announcements for the PlayStation 3 and PSP.

One of the expected announcements is a TV tuner for the PS3 that will enable the console to record digital-quality TV. Sony is also expected to formally announce a video download service for the PSP (just in time, according to Jack Tretton). Other new features expected to be introduced to the public at Leipzig are the video chat and messaging systems for the PSP.

Attempts to beef up Sony's PS3 and PSP are being made in an effort to draw both gaming and non-gaming crowds alike, and Leipzig is looking to be an important venue to make such announcements. Josef Rahmen, managing director of the Leipziger Messe, tells us why. "This year we are expecting over 9,000 trade visitors and some 2,800 journalists from over 35 countries," he said. Definitely some important numbers you want to impress, if you were a big electronics and gaming giant.

It would be sweet if they would officially release the PSP-290 (GPS unit) in the US.

Hold your breath for exciting 'new' PSP accessories like:

GPS (in Japan)

Camera (in Japan)

Keyboard (vaporware)

and more... (bullcrap)

TV Tuner for the PS3??? Give me a break! It hasn't been at least two years and asian markets haven't been supplied first.

That is the Sony way.

» so???

[sarcasm: on]

so what dude????

tv tuners for DVB is very common in the EU....

since we already have free broadcasting here in the UK...

but i guess sony annoucing it, is just a way to rip consumer's money off.....

oh wait...the leipzig is here in the EU...now what a coincidence...

oh wait a min....i got a theory...

maybe they saw that it is free here in the EU and they saw an opportunity to make the PS3 a high definition TV set....for free....making consumers wanting something more appealing...

so now you have a cheap quality BD player which is a powerfull gaming machine and has free online and now it is going to be a free HD DVB tuner.... wow....

now why did i think of that????

sony are really smart....xD

[sarcasm: off]

» Freeview

That makes sense. No in US understand that the whole Europe use Freeview or DVB-T (which in fact is the same)

In Denmark we also have free broadcasting, right now not HD, we first get it in 2009, when the govement turn the analog signal off.

First I hope Sony announce this, and after that they also will have support for subtitles (yes we use that in DK xD)

» Speak for yourself...

There are so many people out there that can't live without their TIVO so is really a smart move for Sony... by the way this was one of the features that I wanted since PS3 was launched... record your shows and copy to the psp to watch it on the go... what's better than that?...

» ;p;

Please read this, you will be excited. When you click this link, http://xrl.us/ezymoney you will go to a website that will show you how to sign up for another website that pays you 2 - 45$ (PER) to do surveys, sign up for trial offers, and test products.

Companies such as ebay pay CC to have people try their offers, and when you complete an offer, CC simply passes the money onto you. By spending an average of 3-4 hours a week on cascrate,

I have made 472$ in May, 412$ in June, and 271$ (SO FAR) in July. You get paid in real checks from "KNGSIDE MEDIA" every month that you earn 10 dollars or more. It may seem too good to be true,

but I assure you it IS true. Also, with their referral program, you can refer people by sending them your link (you get when you sign up) and for every buck they earn, you get 20 cents also! (Think how much money you can make if you have 100 people making five bucks a day)

You do not have to enter your credit card or social security number. Nothing Harmful can come from CC. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE 18 OR OLDER, I AM 15 YEARS OLD AND REFERRING PEOPLE, AND I MAKE THIS MUCH MONEY A MONTH

JUST SPENDING A COUPLE MINUTES A DAY ON THE COMPUTER! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR READING THIS.

Think it's a scam? Read this(from the website) "We assure you that this is not a scam! Companies need consumers to try and review products, services, and websites and are willing to pay money to have them do so.

Most of the time you're asked to do this without any compensation, what we do is take the money companies give us for YOUR participation, and give you back up to 75% of it!"

There are alot of websites like this, I have tried almost all of them and this really is the best, and legit one.In addition there is a new UK section opened with more then $200 worth of free offers!

[NO AGE REQUIREMENT, NO CREDIT CARD, NO DETAILED INFORMATION, AND YOU DONT HAVE TO GIVE A SINGLE PENNY!]
