Sony is going to begin playing PSP ads before its theatrical movie releases in Canada (and probably the US). The ad is pretty sexy, and it sure shows off the PSP's "curves." You also can clearly see the Wally World plug at the end, Sony sure loves to make its corporate pals feel important. Click on the news title for the video.

You can get it in our PSP Download section [here]

The song is 'Mew - Comforting Sounds'

Awesome band, sucky commercial.

The ad sucks. It does nothing to increase interest in the system beyond those who already know about it and likely already have it. People are just going to ignore it in the theater - they should have done something that really grabs the audience attention. They really ought to show people using the PSP for music, movies and games - show the benefits, not a list of features and titles.

Well i thought that was a pretty sweet add. It grabs your attention and thats all that matters.

What are those graphics that show when it's playing mp3? A spectrum analizer? Osciloscope? Visualizations? The PSP doesn't have that!

Referring to Azul's comment...Can we expect, maybe, that the PSP will have these things in future firmware updates. We all want flash capability in the browser. Hopefully Sony, will release many more capabilities in 3.0, but they will also most likely up the security many notches...we will have to see.

...oh please! Haven't you a life outside your PSP?

Nobody's hacked 2.5 yet, I don't they'll bother with 3.0 until that happens.
