Earlier last week, a Sony rep stated that the company's upcoming PSP Minis service will not support multiplayer, DLC's and updates to reduce the development process of games.
But now Sony's PSN boss Eric Lempel has clarified the issue and said that while the PSP Mini titles won't have game updates and muliplayer support in the beginning, the company is not ruling out this features in future updates. Speaking with Destructoid, Lempel said:
So you can patch Minis, but we won't have multiplayer functions in the beginning. Basically, to get these developers on board, and to make it easier to test and get it through the pipeline, we won't be allowing that functionality for the first stage of Minis. It's something we will consider in the future.
Sony's PSP Minis service is due to launch along with the PSP Go on October 1.
