Sony Japan releases the official PSP Theme Maker |
Ó
Japan's official PlayStation site has just updated with a new downloadable that those who have a sweet tooth for custom themes for the PSP may want to hear about. It's an official release of Sony's very own theme maker for handhelds running on their official firmware. While details are still sketchy at this point (it's all in Japanese), a quick scan of this new application's PDF manual reveals some interesting details. For example, we've spotted screenshots for what appears to be a custom icon editor (complete with step-by-step instructions). The app also carries its own theme converters, although once again, we can't verify this until we can pick up a more proper translation.
Guys interested in downloading a copy of this new tool can access it via Sony Japan's official site by clicking the Read link below. We'll let you know in case we hear news of a North American release for Sony's official Theme maker for the PSP. In the meantime, we'd really appreciate it if the more Nihonggo-literate readers could drop by and offer translations. We're sure the rest of the PSP community will be thankful as well.
We extend our thanks to Hatter for informing us of this new release.

Wow, I'm on fire! I'm first again! Gift? (flame bait)
Just downloaded the maker and the software itself is in English. I opened it and that was the default language!
Why are you allowing unregistered comments again? This place has been so much better without all the First! morons like the guy on this thread.
uncertaingod. u r uncertain. is it not possible to make an account with the name (unregistered) in it?
some people have been taking advantage of their user names. like the guy above, his user name is really like that: Iam(unregistered). Now if you check older articles and look at the user names of anonymous commenters, it's always " (Unregistered)" note the space before the parenthetical and the capitalization. hehehe! ^_^
This is pretty sweet! The whole app's in English - I've gotta go fail an LSAT in about 12 hours from now, but after that I think it's time to build my first custom icon set for my 2.71 M33 PSP! This is one SWEET gift from Sony! --Databoy2k
they release it.. finally.. but for some reason I can't put at the same pixels and the same bitrate they told... if someone can help me... :(
LOL, you have revealed the truth, Gino :P I just wanted to mess with people's heads :D It's all in good jest. Of course, it woulda been funnier if I had made it "I_AM_(unregisterd)". Then, people wouldn't assume my name is LAM(UNREGISTERED). Apparently, a capitalized I in sans serif is the same as a lower case L...
or is this just a clever nick with unregistered put there on purpose?

Of course, it woulda been funnier if I had made it "I_AM_(unregisterd)". It would have been funnier and more accurate if you had called yourself "Iam(aRetard)".
It obviously IS registered. his name is "I am unregistered" anyway. he posts a lot here.
