Sony - Image 1After rumors about a "Big Bang" announcement from Sony erupted late last month, the Internet has been abuzz with speculation. Will it be about the rumored core 40GB PlayStation 3 SKU? Will it be about a price drop? Something new for the PSP, maybe?

Right now, it looks like it will be about nothing. According to video game news site Eurogamer, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has categorically denied that they have a press conference scheduled for next week. Eurogamer reports that according to a SCEE spokesperson, Sony "has not announced anything and has nothing of the sort planned".

The "Big Bang" announcement was supposedly going to happen on October 12. There's still plenty of time for late-breaking updates to come about, so keep checking back here for more news.

» psh..

nuh duh, QJ you put lots of damn rumors on your site. But its funny seeing people get all excited OR get mad when sony denys it (but there the dumbas5's who chose to believe it)

» yep

agreed

» More random crap get's posted on QJ

What happened to this site?

You used to be able to put up with the dozens of non-stories a day because when something did get released (like a new CFW update, etc) QJ would post about it first. But this place was the last one to post about 3.71M33-2 update.

» this is news though

I won't say this is random crap at all.

Mind you that big bang could also mean a 'recall' of units. You guys are too positive sometimes =P So Sony says there is nothing to say on Oct12 then so be it...

» Rumble...

they said that about ps3 rumble as well, but we all know it was announced in TGS

by Scarletspydr - 2007-10-03 17:21
» Wow.

All the whining. Why take the time to post if this place is such sh*t? If you are here, then enjoy the site, stop crying someone else posted faster some tidbit of news. Just enjoy.

» Stop Supporting Rumors

same I agree

QJ should stop supporting rumors! Thats how everybody gets hype up and then sony have to deny again while they are busy creating some different then this rumor.

» Re: Scarletspydr

Its freedom of speech here. Go ***** yourself.

by Stealth! - 2007-10-03 18:33
» OK first off

Who said they were supporting rumors. Second They have no idea in the first place when submitted if they were unless its states Rumor: before it.

So please stop talking crap. And besides whats funny is you people actually believe this article, or Sony. Sony has always Shot down any news Like Dualshock 3, Price drop in july, anything else They say. The fact is they always come up and support this stuff, unless its like MGS4 and FF13 going multi that different.

So in essence There will be a big announcement cause its happened to many times already.

» Rumors + Sony...

For people who haven't noticed yet... Sony ALWAYS denies rumors, and then a few days/weeks later, they suddenly announce exactly what they denied just before...

It happened many times recently, the best example for PSP users being the PSP Slim (No, we're not working on a PSP Lite! And then a few weeks later, tada! We're gonna release a PSP Slim! Surprise! lol -_-)

So my guess is that there will probably be a "big" announcement soon...

by 99yenshop - 2007-10-03 19:07
» ehhhh

freedom of speech? wtf? that had nothing to do with his point XD

by Soily - 2007-10-03 19:08
» for Binary

You didn't understand Scarletspydr's point. What he means is that if QJ is as crappy as what those guys say, then why do they waste their time 1) visiting it and 2) posting crappy comments. They could instead do something else, like visiting a "better" news site... >_>

Second thing : "FIRST" posters use their freedom of speech, too? But they're morons, aren't they? So, yeah, sometimes, freedom of speech sucks.

PS: if anyone knows why my comments lose their formatting, and why the quotes become "escaped" when I post them, I'm interested... Makes my posts hard to read like walls of text >_

» they always do!

how long dd they deny the rumble controller for?

by Stealth! - 2007-10-04 16:23
» @Soily

Exactly my point i can't see how both of us who speak truth gets no smiley's here(i just gave you a smiley Soily ). It has happened so many times its like a repetitive theme for Sony. So seriously lets just ignore articles like this.
