Sony combines PlayStation Spot and PlayStation TV |
Ó
PSP owners have PlayStation Spot, a retail download service that lets them download game demos. PS3 fans have the PlayStation TV kiosk where they can check out PS3 game demos and give the PS3's multimedia features a try. Now Sony is going to combine both.
At least 70 PlayStation TV kiosks have been converted to allow PSP Spot downloads. According to IGN, Sony will eventually convert all 1, 035 PS3 kiosks.
To the best of our knowledge, PlayStation TV kiosks can only be found in Japan. Yes, there are PS3 demo kiosks all over the world, but they don't look like the PlayStation TV kiosk in the image above (that images is of the Japanese PlayStation TV website). We'll have to wait for clarification if the "demo kiosks" will also be upgraded to handle PlayStation Spot services.
Still, if you've seen PlayStation TV kiosks outside of Japan, do the rest of the PS3 community a service and post a comment below. Thanks!

Well...Nintendo had the Wii Station set up in the mall here in town. (NorthWest Ohio). They recently took it down to put up a, and I quote, "New System Arena". Perhaps a Sony Spot? Hopefully :]
FIRST! first to come first to die last to last ooooh, im good! i shall be known to have been the first post0r on this remarkable post! give me the credit and respect i deserve right now, or ill never grace you with mentioning that i was first ever again SUCKERS ! ! ! mwahahaha -> youre just too slow you lowlifes who have nothing better to do than regretting not to have been first like ME did i mention that i was F I R S T ?
Unfortunately for other regions, PS Spot can only be enjoyed on PSP's having JP firmware. Well, unless Al (Dark_Alex) has something to do about it.
I know the QJ staff is busy, but is there any chance ya'll can completely ban the losers who partake in such idiocy? My mean seriously, I am so important that I shouldn't have to scroll more than necessary : )
www.pspgen.com have spots
i thought its already possible since last december? is this some late news or what? oh and nintendo has one of those that has downloads/hotspot but the Wii is untouchable. japan some sweet stuffs occasinally. nice living here in japan.
