Sony "categorically" denies confirmation of PSP phone |

The rumor mill has been working overtime during the past few days. The fuel? Reports of the PlayStation Portable phone. Today, another kind of report surfaced: Sony's statements regarding the said rumor.In case that you've been out of the Internet loop for some time, here's a bit of a primer on the current PSP phone rumor-slash-confirmation. Sony Computer Entertainment co-chief operating officer Jim Ryan was quoted a few days back by The Economic Times (of India) saying that the PSP phone is "plausible."
Well, as all rumors and rumored confirmations go, SCE is quick to give an official statement. Speaking with MCV, an SCEE rep strongly denied that they are working on a PlayStation phone. The rep stated that they "can categorically state that we are not currently working with Sony Ericsson on any form of PlayStation phone."
According to the said representative, Ryan was misquoted in the previous article and that complaints have been filed against The Economic Times.

Nobody cares! I sure as hell wouldn't! Seriously, who (besides me) wouldn't give a ***** if Sony actually DID make a PSPhone?
Every time you post another story about a PSPP (PlayStation Portable Phone), a giant enemy crab kills a kitten.
Isn't it about time we attack this rumor's weak point for massive damage?
Want to know why sony not making one? because cell phones (HELLO? IPHONE)) already have java games, tv, video, text messages, ring tones and all. So why buy a game from wal-mart for your cell phone PSP while you can get cell phone java games free?
Just stupid whoever made this stupid rumor because there is already games on the phone.
I only use cell phone 5 times and I hate the static, the calls while you doing something the most. Their drangerous to brain and they killing the bees. What will the world do without bees? Good bye honey! Putin people at risk in driving too.
but yeah I know they good for emergency use but I don't love it as a everyday personal phone to myself.
I still like cordless land phones but I wish they had the ring tones etc (without hearing that default ring) which nobody though about that yet but implanting a speaker phone and boost up to 2.4 to 5.6 (i think) ghz.

Most people these days have cellphones, but do not actually need them. This pspp crap is overkill...

the real idea is to have the basic psp hardware running stuff like ps1 games and download games. they are mostly reluctant because of how terrible the download services are doing so far. Dont expect to see UMDs in it. dont say it'll never happen either.
