According to Mark Rogers, SCEA Senior Producer, the game will be delayed a little bit to give the development team some time to market the game:
We want to give you an update on SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3Â’s release date. It will now be available on January 12, 2010. The PSP titleÂ’s development is on schedule and we are extremely pleased with all aspects of the title. ItÂ’s looking and playing greatÂ…some high value visual assets (screens and video) have only recently been made available to global marketing and we have decided to move the release and allow time to get the word out to everyone.
I understand that this move is disappointing to some in the community, however as a result, you will be seeing a lot more of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 in the following weeks! – stay tuned.

Most people who are going to buy it are people who are already into the series, or who have been looking forward to it for so long. It's not like it's some new series nobody has ever heard of, it's SOCOM! *sigh* owell.... The waiting will be longer.
Just so nobody starts flaming /6, this was SCEA's decision to delay the game, not Slant Six's. I'm really disappointed since the FTB series is considered the best online shooter for the PSP by me and I loved the console SOCOMs too.
I preordered this game and have been waiting for it forever. Though it did strike me that the game had such little advertisements to raise awaerness. good choice to push it back for that reason BUT I am gonna be so bored between now and then, I HAVE NO GAMES AND IM BROKE!!

I got the freaking PSP Go for this game and this crap gets delayed wtf.
im kinda happy that it got delay b/c i want that game so bad but i need to buy the psp go b/c my psp 1000 suks now hopfully the go lower its price if not then no ftb3 for me :(
socom is dead confrontation was the last nail in the coffin its up there with games likes fifa,need for speed and even mercenaries now thanks to ea. my advice for socom fans is get modern warfare 2 as its been confirmed to have a 3rd person mode. shame these games just became all about the profit rather then developers being proud of what they used to achieve. just my opinion whether its right or wrong.
I was really looking forward to hacking and cheating on the game online. Making non cfw users very sad. Mwuauahahahah
