Characters from various SNK Playmore titles - Image 1It's sometimes nice to take a stroll down memory lane, especially when companies such as SNK Playmore USA Corporation (the publishing arm of SNK Playmore) offer us a chance to go retro with Neo Geo titles of old in SNK Arcade Classics: Volume 1 for the Sony's PSP and PlayStation 2.

SNK Playmore USA Corporation has confirmed that the following titles will be included in SNK Arcade Classics: Volume 1:
  • Art of Fighting
  • Baseball Stars 2
  • Burning Fight
  • Fatal Fury
  • King of Fighters ‘94
  • King of the Monsters
  • Last Resort
  • Magician Lord
  • Metal Slug
  • Neo Turf Masters
  • Samurai Shodown
  • Sengoku
  • Shock Troopers
  • Super Sidekicks 3
  • Top Hunter
  • World Heroes
Expect SNK Playmore to release SNK Arcade Classics: Volume 1 to Sony PlayStation 2 and PSP players sometime during the first half of this year.

Would be interesting had NJ not perfected Neo Geo emulation nearly 2 years ago. But better late than never.

It is very cool! Now you can actualy buy the games and support SNK, so that they will release more compilations.

Though I'm more interested in the PS2 version, so I will have those classics for the PS2 and PS3.

Keep up the good work SNK!

What's an official SNK compilation without puzzle bobble? The game's simple, fun, and addicting. Goog music too. To top it all off... it's pretty darn small. I know there is already a stand-alone puzzlw bobble for PSP but if they're simply using the arcade roms for this it should have been quite easy to include. I'm quite certain there is also enough space on the UMD for it.

Hrm. Perhaps fans can petition SNK to include Puzzle Bobble in Volume 2?
