SNK announces new Metal Slug game for PSP |

This latest title is called Metal Slug XX. As stated in the debut trailer below (and as translated by PSPHyper), it'll feature seven stages, alternate paths, over 70 types of mini-games in the Combat School mode, additional characters, and 2-player co-op via the Ad Hoc mode. It a weird twist, though, the game seems to be using a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Metal Slug XX is currently slated for a December 23 release in Japan. No word yet if this will cross over for an international release. You can check out the official website here. Oh, and those who pre-order can get free underwear. No kidding.

Oh how I love Metal Slug. Have the Wii collection (for co-op play, nobody else I know owns a PSP), MS Advance and the new one for the DS. Brilliant games, hope this gets a quick translation
if this gets a psp coop game then that would be freakin' awesome. i love the metal slug series.
metal slug is bomb!
I gave up on this series after MS6. It was just getting tired, and dull even before then peaking at MS3 and seeing the same old graphics over and over just killed it for me. The controls too felt too sluggish for a platform shooter. I did give the DS one a quick go but it was pretty shoddy. I'd prefer a new Gunstar Heroes by Treasure as that was far more fun and imaginative. But then the GBA sequel wasn't that great either.

Is this Metal Slug 7 remade for the PSP if so I'm bought. I could not enjoy the DS' Version since the sprites are kinda squished in a small screen. The GBA version was better than the DS one.
So far I love MS 1-6 (including MS Advance), never finished 7 due to the sprites bothering me.
Metal Slug anthology makes this game look like this should be a PSN type game.
MSA was worth every penny because it had 7 MS games but this one seems a little lazy. Quick buck. If I were SNK, I would think of a better way, have Anthology be apart of this game AKA bundle but instead the version that comes with this game also comes with online co op.
If I were them, maybe they should make another anthology and put this one in and add in online co op. Yes I know Anothology already came out but didnt it only have ad hoc?
Or atleast make the game with PSP type graphics, this reminds me of what I would call a PSN game AKA a mini type game for PSP only.
the new characters seem to be ralph and clark from ikari warriors and king of fighters series.
