Silver PSP announced for Japan |

A while ago, Nintendo released the Onyx Black and Pearl Pink DS Lites. Sony then followed suit by announcing the Pink PSP. Now they're showing off a new Silver PSP as well! Previously set for Europe only, the Pink PSP will be coming to Japan as well. Alongside it will be the new Silver PSP shown off for the first time.
Sony also had a few other PSP colors on show, but they were merely prototypes. They had displays of red, blue, yellow, and even "camouflage" PSPs! All the displays were a "see and no touch" affair. The displays themselves were very nice though. Sony wanted to show people they haven't completely forgot about their handheld during all this PS3 hype.

Has sony ever explained why north america never gets the color options offered japan and europe? Seriously, has sony or an analyst ever given any reason why the US and canada get the shaft?
thats such bullcrap that they get all the colors sony is losing so much money to the custom faceplate companies .. which i bought and installed a clear one two days ago and its sexy :) sony give the united states a graphite grey psp that would kick some serious as*

These models may have pretty cosmetics but remember that flashy FW number and motherboard they will all come with. I do wonder though if somebody will eventually sell the back and front of these new PSP's to anyone who wants to buy them. You know, like how you can just replace the faceplate, except in this case the back also. Obviously replacing the back would a lot more time consuming and more risky.

When were these photos taken? I remember the coloured prototypes that were shown before the PSPs release that never came out (more wishy washy colours, however), but if these are recent photos, i am exited. Well, only mildly; What about that PSP redesign rumour?
Why is it that sony give the japs a silver psp even though they prefer the ds, were the loyal ones! give it to us europeans and americans!!!!

You are all crying because you don't get a colored PSP? Well, I'm from Brazil and Sony doesn't even lunch the PSP down here (or the PS2, or even the PSOne for that matters). US$ are worth almost 3 times our currency and on top of that, if you want a PSP, it will cost you around US$550, and you don't even get a warranty (keep in mind that the minimum wage in Brazil is about US$115)! I never saw a white PSP even in a store and a game UMD doesn't go for less than US$120! I don't want you guys to pitty me because this situation is all our own fault (brazilians). I just wanted for you guys to get the picture!
