Silent Hill Origins: Never Play It at Night |
Ó
You may never play your PSP at night again; Konami's Silent Hill Origins heads to the PSP. This will be one of the rare horror games that will be ported to the handheld.
As what the title says, Silent Hill Origins shows you how the sleepy town of Silent Hill becomes hell's province on Earth. The game's main character is Travis Grady--a truck driver with a troubled past. He goes into town on a routine delivery, and quickly discovers that things just don't seem right. Stuck in Silent Hill; he must find a way out and resolve his disturbed memories since childhood. The fog and music will also "enhance" your scaring experience. Just remembering the past Silent Hills give me the chills. Expect to see a lot of disembodied chaps and weird body combos.
As for the gameplay, new mechanics are included in this game. "Cineractive System" allows players to "face" down horrifying monsters while controlling scheme changes intuitively as the situation arises. There's also confirmed reports of enhanced camera utilization designed for the PSP alone. Another confirmation is an updated control method for superior combat and detailed exploration of the environment.
The game will be out in Winter 2006. Just in time for those long, cold, dark nights.

I am really looking forward to this game.
This won't be scary, for me, because im used to stuff like this. I have silent hill for the ps2. It is a freaky game, but won't scare me at night :). No movies are even scary anymore...
IGN said the game is coming out in 2007. I'm gonna believe them over some dumb blog.
Oooh, I didn't know a PSP Silent Hill was coming out. God I love QJ, I check all the console/handheld blogs here everyday. ^^
