Whaddaya mean Jack Sparrow ain't in here? - Image 1Shiver me timbers! As if releasin' this wee little title that be named Sid Meier's Pirates! wasn't enough, we be receivin' another broadside of good news. Gamestop is now carrying stock of this much-awaited pirate title for the PSP, and instead of the announced US $ 22.99 tag (Arr! Highway robbery!), they're offering it up for a meager sum of US $ 20.00.

Yes, ye be hearin' us right, mateys - Take-Two Interactive and Firaxis's PSP title is nearly on the same price listing as some other much-loved portable hits. For the next aspiring Blackbeard (or Jack Sparrow) out there, check out the source link for further details.

Bad port.

I can see why it's only 20 bucks. This port is horrendous! They really didn't spend any time giving PSP owners their own version. Instead, they just ported it over and patched up the parts they couldn't fix - and it shows.

ROFL.

I've been in the gaming industry for about 12 years now, and I'll just say that there's just way too much ass kissing. They're afraid to say what's right and wrong anymore. Not to mention IGN doesn't know how to score games worth a lick anymore. Look at the consumer reviews on their website. Most of the time it's totally the opposite. Editors usually review games in favor of the developers to get exclusives and to make sure their future coverage with them is in good terms. If anyone else tells you different, then they have no clue what they're talking about. I loved the PC version of the game and played it to no end. Seeing how this was out, I picked it up an played it all night - and tried to like it. I couldn't for some reason. It's really unpolished and thrown together. You can even tell from playing. I don't let people like IGN dictate what I buy just because it got a 9.1. Give me a break. I simply bought it, played it, and it sucked. All I'm being is honest. I just wanted to steer people away that might be a bit apprehensive about it. It might be worth the price if you can pick it up used, but the only reason why I can say that it's worth 20 dollars new is because of the simple fact that it sucks. Just my 2 cents. That's all.

its not THAT bad

ok #4 (re:ugh) its not ANYWHERE as horrendous as you kinda set the mood for. it is still a great game, and from what i can tell, no gameplay was sacrificed, only some extra visual oomph on the main world in the menu. i know where he is coming from, but this game is stil great, and DEFINITELY worth $20

This game is great

Having tried both the xbox version of this and the psp, I can say that the psp version is no knockoff. In fact I much prefer playing the psp one over the xbox one since the psp one is more ironed out and it is of course portable. For 20 bucks this game is a steal, its just too bad its still going for $40 here in Canada.
