Iron Man II - Image 1

I haven't heard much about the movie sequel for Iron Man lately, and already they're talking about the movie tie-in game. Sega has announced via press release that they're now working closely with Marvel Entertainment to deliver Iron Man II.

Since the first Iron Man was released on the multi-platform level, we can safely assume that Iron Man II will get similar treatment and be released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, Wii, DS, and PC. That, and movie tie-in games usually get spammed through the grid too.

The game is currently scheduled to be released right alongside the movie: May 2010. Sega's refining their previous game's engine to make gameplay that much better for Iron Man II. Aside from that, details are skimpy.

Considering that the movie sequel will follow Tony Stark's dark spiral into alcoholism, maybe we can expect some GTA4 level of how the amount of alcohol imbibed messes up Stark's skill in flying his suit. DUI? Why not FUI? That's flying under the influence, kid.

» I wonder???

Are movies being turned to games depending on their popularity now?

I mean this is the first time i hear about the movie's sequel and the post is actually about a movie tie-in game.

I'm not complaining as long as both movie and game are done well, its just so hard to keep up with them these days and btw i'm looking forward to the movie and game.

Wasn't Tony always an alcoholic, in the first movie you hardly ever see him without a drink, what i would like to know is what about the last Scene in the Incredible Hulk, Tony seems like recruiting for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Actually, right about the same time that the first movie hit theaters, there was already confirmation about a sequel. Though, yes, he was already shown to be a drinker in the first movie, they say they're going to explore that aspect of Tony Spark even deeper in the second movie.

About Stark's cameo in Hulk, Marvel Studios is already setting the pieces in motion. They already introduced Fury in the first Iron Man movie, and then the whole recruitment gig in Hulk... where will all this lead to?

The chess pieces are in motion: SHEILD is starting to recruit their forces for... the Avengers movie. ^_^ One of the movies I'm excited to see is the Thor movie. One of the next in line. Then there's Captain America too. After that: boom. Culmination in the Avengers movie. How awesome is that?!

» So...

We should expect Tony in his armor attending AA meetings, being pulled over by police helicopters and going through sobriety test. XD

I'm planning on seeing all of those movies, i just hope the large quantity doesn't me inferior quality.

» what?!

when did fury appear in Iron Man?

» Fury in the end credits

Fury was in a 'hidden scene' during the end credits, I think at the very end of the credits (if I recall correctly). ...In regards to the first post (Stario001), it sounds like you need to read some Marvel comics. Iron Man was long associated with SHIELD and Nick Fury, and in the recent reboot of The Avengers ("The Ultimates" series) comics, Fury actually assembles the Avengers. So, the movies look to be leading to a bleeding of "old Iron Man & Avengers" with "new Iron Man & Avengers" (just as most Marvel movies have been).
