Sega Sammy Reveals Number of Titles in Development |

kind of affair with Sony.PSP: 29 Titles
PlayStation2: 28 Titles
PlayStation3: 17 Titles
Nintendo DS: 17 Titles
Xbox 360: 14 Titles
Wii: 7 Titles
Gamecube: 2 Titles
Game Boy Advance: 2 Titles
Xbox: 1 Titles
As you can see, the PSP has more titles from the company than the Nintendo DS. The Wii has half the titles of the Xbox 360. Older systems such as the Gamecube and Xbox are actually receiving titles. Also, they expect to have 17 PS3 titles available in less than six months after the PS3 launches? Good luck with that guys.
To clarify, Sega's games have all sold best on Nintendo platforms and worst on the Microsoft platforms. Their titles on the home Sony consoles have done almost as well as on Nintendo consoles, but much of that stems from the large userbase (90 million users on PS2 as opposed to 20 million - 25 million on GCN and XBX).
It's kind of mind-boggling how they're still supporting the Gamecube and Xbox which are basically dead systems. However, we do expect Super Monkey Ball Adventure to do quite well.

And damn, 17 PS3 GAMES!! Just from Sega alone. Even if every other companies doesn't release that many games for the PS3, the PS3 will still have the most games.

Tell me, what do you see at LAN parties SSBM ftw

Sega and Sammy merged a long time ago. It still says Sega on packages (my Sonic Rush has no mention of Sammy) but Sammy is involved with business decisions.
That's been done way too many times. Although I'd probably side with Samus. Ever got to the end of Zero Mission. I thought I was invincible >_>
Xbox and GCN are basically dead. Seriously. They're being mostly ignored for the next generation consoles. I know I'm not buying any upcoming GCN games except maybe Super Paper Mario. Yeah, I still play SSBM every day. Although now it's getting DREs =(

#games XBOX/# games PS2, both xbox and GC are pretty dead. Other than that M$ is not concerned about xbox anymore and Nintendo is trying to get better with the Wii so GC is barely supported (till Wii launch)
See you

But the DS has backwards compatibility, whereas the PSP does not. Backwards compatibility is not all it's cracked up to be, but it serves the consumer well until they're able to buy the "must-buy" games over the next couple of months or years. It worked for Sony's PS2, and it defintely worked for the DS.
Btw...the DS did not need the GB brand, it had Nintendo stamped all over it.

I think it looks like way too many games being released imho.
What we need to remember though is how many of these are multiplatform, how many of these are actually made by Sega(and not it's subsidaries like Creatuve Assembly...).

i wonder how psp would be doing if it had already failed by now?

I will continue to inflict pain into my enemies by getting the most titles to my systems just like I have in the past. This worked then and it will work now.
DS? huh PSP rules in the WEST! My Jap people just love their Nintendo handhelds and those damn old people buying up brain training games. I will rule handhelds in the future, you just wait and see. I've only just begun in that front. You all though N64 was going to stomp my PS and look at me now.
By the way Rushan S. keeps your fanboy comments to yourself and be professional. Those should be left for us.
And if your comparing machine numbers please compare the correct numbers I have around 105 million units sold fool. If you give that number because you mean users than don’t use the amount of XBX and Cube sales.

Aslo the failure rate for the xbox is 17-18% for dd errors and considering their lower user base its understandable due to the less strain on manufacturing.
And i say that most dd errors were cause by drops, bumps, and poor handling. Because i had to fix close to a dozen ps2's and xboxs. And most worked till they were droped, hit with the contoller, or somthing in moving. OH and the food in the disk drive is horrible. Please take care of your machines. I had a ps2 from the second batch release and i had it for till this year and had to sell it for rent.... i cried.

Also even though the PS2 had problems these usually occur at the beginning of it’s lifecycle. Most of my PS2 millions came after the fact. Another thing, please don't think for one second that all of the people who got faulty hardware bought a replacement system.
The blogger as a semi-professional should make his post in the correct manner otherwise he’s just some fanboy rambling about his love for sexual pleasures with Miyamoto and friends.

However, that would also increase the sales of the GCN and Xbox. This is what I have currently:
Playstation 2: 90,193,857
Xbox: 24,178,281
Gamecube: 20,270,264

(Not me. I've still got my Dreamcast. And I'd probably have my NES and SNES and Atari 2600/5200 if it were for the problem with corroding metal.)

Nintendo reports numbers sold to consumers, so I don't see why Sony doesn't. They should have access to those numbers as well.

Wii, you go! I am buying it from you, Nintendo!

I used the term "non-informed non-gamers" meaning everyday people who aren't into gaming but are intrigued by the idea and have no clue as what to buy.
