Ó
Sega Rally Revo is an arcade-style racer which takes players and their cars off the road and on to the dirt for an axle-breaking, fender busting ride that boasts of graphical superiority grown primarily on the Sony PlayStation 3 and ported to the Microsoft Xbox 360, PC and Sony PlayStation Portable.GamePro was able to see how the game looked first hand in its high-resolution glory and the respected game publication was all praises for what it saw. Running at 730p for next-gen consoles and moving at a lofty 30 frames per second, the visuals had a lot of bells and whistles to make it all look sweet.
The move to tone down the frame rate, says GamePro, was based on the rationale of "freeing up extra horsepower for slick visual effects like real-time reflections (both on cars and wet roads) and high levels of anti-aliasing (the PS3 version had no visible "jaggies"...and believe us, we looked for them)."
The development team also revealed that the game was originally developed only in the PS3 platform but was later ported to other systems. The devs handling the project are from the Rockstar North and Codemasters folds.
The game is expected to be set loose sometime between the end of September and the middle of October this year. More than 30 cars and 24 tracks will be featured for high-octane fun on all of the platforms it will see action in.

"While both versions were polished and highly playable, the Xbox 360 demo looked slightly more advanced, with a smoother overall frame rate..."
"The result is that the game never slowed down to a sluggish pace, but it did seem to be smoother on Microsoft's console overall."

Wait and see on this one.

in their preview they compared the PS3 "Online mose" against the 360 single player mode
how foolish, ofcours e the online mode lags against the single player the online code is finished for the game yet
for gamespot to say that the 360 version is smoother by comparing singlel player mose to online mose is throwing sand into the eyes
but then advertizing for the 360 is their job

Joes don't. I bet they drop the PS3 to 399.99 this Christmas. If they do its game over for XBOX and the Wii.

So why not. Really I want to see side by sides as I thought real-time track deformation was something the PS3 would do better as that function requires straight up number crunching to determine the shape of the new mesh.....but if 360 manages to do it as well, that will be something....i've only seen it implemented abit in the "dirt" demo, not sure how much it's used in the real game...but it's barely noticeable in the demo and I can't say it's not just a fancy texture/bump map and not real time mesh deformation...

Just like how the 360 version of VF5 looks better than the PS3 which it was centered on? Haha, nice try fanboy!

And gamespot are just telling it the way they see it. You only think their bias when something doesn't favor the PS3.
