Sony Computer Entertainment America has just announced yet another PSP-exclusive title, NBA 10 The Inside. Though it's rather unusual for sports titles not to go multiplatform, SCEA promises that this one will offer "the most diverse and feature-rich handheld NBA action available."

Combining arcade and simulator styles of gameplay, NBA 10 The Inside features realistic player interaction at 60fps while adding fun mini-games to keep you hooked in the game.

Gameplay modes include:
  • New Quest Modes
    • DodgeQuest – Players will battle teams head-to-head in an attempt to take over the entire country while playing the Dodgeball mini-game. In-game power ups and player upgrades have also been added to the traditional Dodgeball mode for depth.
    • Give&GoQuest – Players will face off on the Give & Go mini-game as they battle other cities and acquire players in an attempt to take over the entire country.
    • MiniQuest – New Conquest mode lets players take over the entire country and choose from either Dodgeball, Conquest, Elimination, or Give & Go each time two cities battle one another.
  • New Mini-Games
    • Open Lanes – A traditional 10 frame bowling mini-game with an NBA look and feel.
    • Cherry PickinÂ’ – A puzzle based mini-game where players shoot colored orbs that stick to the game board, which is made of additional colored orbs. The goal is to line up at least three orbs of the same color to remove them from the board. The overall objective is to clear out all orbs on the game board to proceed to the next level.
    • Classics – ShootinÂ’ Bricks, Block A Shot, Big Shooter, Pinball and more classic mini-games return in NBA 10 The Inside.
NBA 10 The Inside will also feature commentary from Kenny Smith, as well as play-by-play and in-depth analysis care of Ian Eagle. The game will be playable via Ad Hoc for wireless multiplayer gameplay for up to two PSPs, or via VLAN if you want to play with strangers online.

SCEA is tossing NBA 10 The Inside into store shelves on October 6th, 2009.

» cool

I was curious if Sony would bring this franchise back since the last 2 seemed to bomb, but I think making it psp exclusive is very smart because the nba live series is awful on psp so this is really your only choice if you want some good basketball action on the go, although 2k sports is bringing the nba2k series to the psp for the first time this year. Their series is usually the best but since this is their first year in the portable market hopefully it wont be as bad as nba live.

I have a feeling this will not be included... it seems to be a taboo feature for portable b-ball games.

» is this the sequel?

is this the sequel to nba the inside? that was one of my favorite nba titles for the psp. It didn't have a whole lot of features but it was the best looking one out.
