Scarface comes to PSP, cancelled on Xbox 360 |

Looks like yet another movie/TV adaption has been canned on the Xbox 360 after yesterday's Sopranos. Now it's poor Al Pacino who has received a kick out of the promising next-gen future. Vivendi Games today confirmed that Scarface: The World Is Yours will not be released on the Xbox 360. "Cancelled" is maybe not the right word for this anyway, as a Xbox 360 was never clearly confirmed, but strongly rumored. But, there's also good news since Scarface is now headed for the Playstation Portable. Presumably more than a stripped-down home console port, the PSP version will get a different name, Scarface: Power. Money. Respect. and will combine turn-based strategy with real-time combat. Players will be able to capture turfs (Hi there, San Andreas) and eliminate rival gangs and crime bosses in the single-player mode. A multiplayer mode is in the works too, allowing four players to take over the streets of Miami simultaneously.
We'll keep you updated on new info on Power. Money. Respect. as we get it. The World Is Yours, the original game, is now set for release on PS2, Xbox and PC in October.

I don't get it, how come you guys aren't posting news about ZOE??? This is big news. I didn't see gangs in the movie, because everyone was partnered with each other but a drug war broke out because no one agreed with anyone else. TM pwned Well, I'm sure they'll make it backwards compatible for the xbox 360. I bet they didn't want it to look like the exact game so yeah kill ports and just emulate them..like many launch games. I don't have a ps2 anymore but I bet it will be almost the same for the psp.

Ya these guys are real smart... lose (or not make) what could have been a great game on a nextgen console. then make an extreamly crappy psp game that will end up on the bergin bins a month after launch. first they F*** up Godfather Mob Wars by making it card based. Now they do the same thing with Scarface. It's a conspiracy against all potential competitors of gta. and by the way, Tony Montana is a drug lord , not a "gangsta".
i dont realy like playing 3D game son my psp i will ge tthis game for my ps2 and il be like im tony Montana oh and IN YOUR FACE XBOX 360 but it will be good for the ps3
You are joking, right? Just because Scarface is an 80s FILM, it doesn't mean the GAME isn't a GTA clone or rip-off. I guess if a developer creates a GTA clone based upon a 50s movie, you'll be saying it's not a rip-off because the film came out 50 years before GTA. *roll eyes* Try using your brain next time.

GTA vice city was scarface - the storyline, the plot & even the music was the same (all apart from the fact that u dount die @ the end). anyway, i've got a xbox 360 and PSP, so i'm pleased that it'll be coming to at least one of these consoles. btw: i doubt that microsoft will make scarface (xbox version) backwards compatible with the 360.
