Manhunt 2 for the PSP and Wii - Image 1

While controversy, protests, and follow-up explanations still haunt Manhunt 2's expected release for North America this Halloween, the game has at least been given a confirmed green light.

We'll be taking another look at the how this PlayStation Portable and Wii title is faring over in Europe, where Rockstar is currently appealing the British Board of Film Classification's ban on the said game. The company was recently contacted for possible updates regarding their case, and they replied with this statement:

It is very good news that Manhunt 2 has now been rated Mature for North America and will be released October 31. However, we have no updated information on the BBFC status of the game.

There you have it. We advise readers to drop by again in case we pick up more information regarding the appeal. On that note, though, this author does wonder: If the BBFC makes a similar ruling as the ESRB did for the game, just what sort of edits will the board require? We'd like to hear from the readers regarding their thoughts on this matter.

YES!

Take2 Rockstar victory. Not a complete victory but we'll take it. To bad the game couldn't have just been past off to the US un-edited.

BBFC Sucks

The BBFC is not going to change their mind, at least I don't think they will. Unless they pull their shirts from their arses. They are way more strict than ESRB, they can't be bought. Good times in America, let the killing begin on Halloween. That's okay though, our brethren in the UK can still order the American version which wouldn't be much different or at least minor differences from the UK version. If it doesn't get released in the UK I forsee, this being the most illegally downloaded game ever!!!

Lol

I doubt they'll be succesful, the BBFC are british, it require hell lot more money to buy a British than an American. Anyways it's funny how this game is being released unedited in countries like Mexico, Russia, and Lebanon, and here in the US it will be edited :S

Don't know much portuguese but...

with my limited knowledge of this language (fourth I know) this is what I understand: Not *****ing day passes without this *****ty site speak about this disgusting game. JA! I'm tired of hearing the same ***** of every sons of *****es every day. Go screw with that expensive game of "paleleiro?". Go to hell you sack of *****es, *****ing *****es covered in *****. PS: I changed a few words to other meanings cause they are words that exist in spanish and portuguese but not in egnlish like "caralho" or "carajo" in spanish. Also my translation is not ortographically correct as my knowledge of portuguese language is very limited. Anyways I agree with this guy, I also am getting tired of this site posting the same manhunt 2 ***** everyday...

Jin I didn't used the google translator, especially when I know a bit of the language (as I learnt basic portuguese with a CD I bought. In addition, since my primary language is spanish because I come from Puerto Rico I can also understand words I don't know because of the great similarity between the languages). Just because I say I know 4 languages doesn't mean I'm lying, hell, it may be much compared to other puertoricans here but if you go to Europe that's kinda like a standard to know 3-6 languages so it's not even that impressive, although for some reason it seems impressive for Americans :S...). PS: Google translator is *****, I once tried to translate something from german to english and all I saw was 20% englis 80% german, I don't think that can be called a translator...

Wow that was pretty nasty as a response to "so stupid" Quite typical of spanish insults, they tend to run on and on and on until its a whole paragraph. You do know theres plenty of shorter insults in spanish that don't take forever to type/say/read....right?
