The press release reveals the steps you have to do in order to join this contest. But first, what is this contest about? Basically, it challenges all you creative, musical minds to create a track using the song-crafting tools in Timbaland's Beaterator. Now, to join, you just have to fill out an entry form via the contest's official site linked below.

100 bands will be picked by Rockstar Games for the Semi-finals round, all of which are already winners of a PSP system and a copy of the game. The Semi-finalists' qualifying Beaterator tracks will then be put up on the contest website, and voting will commence via MySpace and IGN communities.

If you win (as a solo artist or as a band), apart from the cash prize, you will also find your creation featured on the PlayStation Network, as well as on the game's MySpace homepage.

Get those musical cogs working, and get that beat on!
