Rewind to retro: Sega Genesis Collection hits stores today |
Ó
The future is here! Oh, snaps. Let us rephrase: The PAST is here! Truthfully, a lot of the gamers (despite the push for better graphics, better sounds, and better everything) still have a special place in their hearts for 16-bit retro games from their childhood. Sega's just announced that their Sega Genesis Collection has now been shipped to retailers across North America.
US$ 29.95 will get you more than 30 games in this blast-from-the-past compilation. Just some of the titles include classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, Shinobi III, Phantasy Star, and Golden Axe. The collection will also feature unlockable items like interviews with the developers of the original games, as well as a museum area with interesting factoids about your favorite Sega Genesis games, even arcade titles from the Genesis era that you can access!
Don't you see images from your childhood flash before you? Whether you still got your friends from a decade ago or if you've got new friends now, you guys can share your 16-bit memories via Ad Hoc mode and relive the past with your handheld! Who said you should forget about your past? This time around, it's inescapable!

this game is going to kick ass. it's one of the first collections to actually have mostly good games and not just a few. i can't wait till i can pick this game up.
DGEN 1.70 already has adhac just fyi. And yes, some of these games may run slightly smoother on here, but DGEN still owns this. DGEN has an absolute ton of options in the UI. And DGEN runs nearly all Genesis games. This is like what- 12 games? Q: Is this the end of DJEN? A: LOL
plz oh plz make this game work on 2.71 it will be the first psp game i bought for the year i had this psp! please sega you supported home brew on the dreamcast please help the psp see your ways!
is this gonna beat DGEN? erm... well it costs 30 dollars...you get 12 games. dgen costs nothing. the games cost nothing. and you can play more games. no thanks DGEN ftw =P
