Bionic Commando Rearmed - Image 1

Sweet. After dragon-riding in Lair, tower-defending in PixelJunk Monsters, and few couple others, we finally have another game that supports the Remote Play feature. It's recently been confirmed to MTV that GRIN and Capcom's upcoming Bionic Commando Rearmed will be playable on the PSP.

Yeap. Turns out that the classic remake of the 8-bit NES title will not only be playable via Remote Play, but its earned the status of being the first ever third-party published game to support the interconnectivity feature. (Just to clarify, previous games that support Remote Play have been developed or published by either SOE, SCEA, SCEJ, or some other Sony-arm)

So here's hoping other developers and publishers follow suit!

The game will be released on the PlayStation Network come May of this year, simultaneously with the release of its XBLA and PC counterparts*. If this downloadable game kicks off pretty well - which is almost a sure thing, what with Remote Play support now confirmed - then it bodes well for the upcoming Bionic Commando sequel (now on Alpha stage, mind you), set to light up the PS3, 360, and PC.

* - uh, of course, the Remote Play function won't really work for the XBLA and PC versions. Good luck with that one if you wish to try...

on the NES, but I'm pretty interested to find it how it fares on the PS3 and 360. I've seen the old-school gameplay of it and it looks very fun.
