Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command - Image 1Almost two months ago, THQ announced that it will be releasing Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command on the Sony PlayStation Portable and the Nintendo DS handheld gaming systems. Now it's RedLynx's turn with the announcements.

The Helsinki-based company has just announced that it will be developing the new handheld title. The RedLynx team has apparently made sure that the game will take advantage of the platforms' capabilities, and is currently hard at work finalizing Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command for its release this year.

Set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, this turn-based strategy game boasts fully destructible 3D environments and over 20 different weapons available for players to inflict some damage with. Both the DS and PSP versions offer multiplayer support where gamers can go head to head against each other in 9 unique missions.

» PSP vs. DS

Does this mean I can take on all my friends who still have a DS?

» Excellent

I love games like this and I will most likely be buying this one. We need to support the devs who work hard on games like this because there are not enough for the Psp.
