Amazing Race - Image 1I've always wanted to join the Amazing Race, and this is probably the closest chance I'll ever get. Ludia Inc. has announced that they got the rights to develop CBS' reality TV show as a video game.

Unfortunately, the press release didn't mention much details about the game, much less what platforms they're going to be released on. Right now, it's fair game for everyone.

We can somewhat glean the concept of what this Amazing Race game is going to be like though. See this from the press release:

“The Amazing Race” video game teams players up in pairs for an unforgettable journey across exotic locations and continents in a race against time and other teams. Players work to find each checkpoint and take on dozens of frantic challenges and tasks as they navigate Detours, Roadblocks and other unpredictable game elements from the show. Working together strategically throughout the game is essential as each team tries to discover hidden clues that are crucial to getting them to the Pit Stop first- and one step closer to ultimate victory at the check-in mat.

For some reason, I have Lost Vikings in my head. Ok wait, that's too ancient of a game. Hah! LittleBigPlanet-type of co-op, perhaps?

Now, as some of you may remember, Canada-based studio Ludia was also responsible for the Hell's Kitchen video game (as published by Ubisoft). For now, The Amazing Race is planned to be released alongside season 14 of the show.

So, any one of you want to be my partner for the race? Dude, move it, let's go!

They're really reaching,

Aren't they. Seriously, I don't see this working out at all...

Coming up, Survivorman The Game :-p

Survivorman

At least survivorman would be cool. Kind of like Lost in Blue for the DS.

But the amazing race? That is a FAKE reality show.

Where as Les Stroud actually goes out into the wilderness and survives on his own.

The point being

is the interface would be unbearable, seriously how can you make a game out of something that has no way of inspiring an interface to begin with.

I just do not see this, if it makes the money that it takes to make the game then I'll be impressed

Well...

if it's like Lost Vikings and/or LBP then I think that'd be great fun co-op gameplay. Let's wait, otherwise. Cause maybe it'll just be like some crappy puzzle or even a quiz game.
