Ready at Dawn Studios, makers of Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus - Image 1

We all want to know what the makers of Daxter and the PlayStation Portable title in the God of War series, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Ready at Dawn are planning to do next. Well, the said devs have put up an update on their official site and announced that they will be "moving on to other projects and other ideas on other consoles."

After Chains of Olympus, the team plans to take a break to take a few steps back and admire their handiwork - that is, check out the fans' comments about the game. The statement shot down hopes for two things: Chains of Olympus will be Ready at Dawn's last PSP game, and it will be the game devs' first and last GOW game. It was reiterated that there will be no PlayStation 2 port for Chains of Olympus.

We'll be looking forward to Ready at Dawn's future projects. We'll keep you posted about what Ready at Dawn will be cooking for us in the future, so for now, stay tuned.

smart thing that they didn't specify 2008 or 2009 or 20xx on the ad for the PS3 one...

This is old news....

They said this ages ago.

Well anyway, with two very successful PSP games, its a bit of a disappointment.

Until they announce that they will be porting it. Just like companies before have denied porting games to other platforms. It will happen eventually.

# why port itHotRod11686 2008-03-07 05:34
the game was the shortest GOW ever. Why even bother bringing it to the ps2, it would just be a waste of time. I'd rather wait for the ps3 one because I cant wait to see some GOW goodness in full HD :)

Do you realize that Chains of Olympus is a PSP game, it was made specifically for the system. They would have to work on the whole game to port it, like a year or more. And they are currently working on God of War 3 for PS3. Stop thinking its going to happen. Get a PSP, if not than don't play the game, end of story.

Besides this is old news like someone mentioned already. I read this weeks ago.
