Have you guys seen "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"? I haven't but I hear they totally butchered Deadpool's character in the movie. Be that as it may, Raven Software, the development studio behind the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game, has expressed interest in making a Deadpool game.

When asked by UGO which character his team would want to put in a video game next, Wolverine project lead Dan Vondrak's answer came quick:

That's very easy, that'd be Deadpool. We're huge fans of Deadpool. When we made X-Men 2, we made sure to put Deadpool in there and give him plenty of little Easter eggs and conversations. We love the character. His smartass attitude. So that'd be the guy we'd probably go after.

Cool beans. What's even cooler is that Vondrak likes Deadpool "the way he is in the comics", so a Deadpool game from Raven would be "absolutely 100%" traditional.

Man, I hope Raven eventually gets around to doing this game. A game tutorial from Deadpool would be hilarious if they include his 4th wall-breaking powers. Throw in Bob from HYDRA too, for good measure.

i just got back from the movies, and it is pretty good, but the mutant abilities and some back-story are complete crap. i will not ruin it for those that have not seen the movie, but Deadpool in the beginning (as part of the original team) is awesome, abilities are stretched, but his attitude, and known powers are shown. towards the end, he was butchered though, with every power he had incorrect except his healing. Oh well, a game with his comic book counterpart would be awesome.

Deadpool doesn't necessarily die in the movie... You saw wolverine, he didn't die, even when his heart made a complete stop.. Deadpool shares his DNA.. We actually don't know what level of damage Wolverine can actually sustain .. (just saying)

Movie sucked, game sucked. People that hate on Watchmen are people that don't know s*** about stories and probably love this crappy Origins movie. Why can't they just stick to the damn comics?

Here's what I'll tell you with the Deadpool movie/game if it is made. Movie is going to suck, game is going to suck. People that hate on Watchmen are people that don't know s*** about stories and probably love this crappy Deadpool movie. Why can't they just stick to the damn comics?

The movie was mediocre, but it didn't suck. Watchmen did not stick to the best parts of the comics, they took out some of my favorite parts and switched dialogue around for no apparent reason, so Watchmen was also mediocre. I actually had more fun watching Wolverine than Watchmen.

******SPOILER** ****

Just watch the scene after the credits.

There is a Stryker scene after a few seconds of the credits, this happens in ALL the prints, but DON'T LEAVE YET.

After the credits are done, it will show 2 possible scenes:

1.- Wolverine drinking in a bar

2.- Deadpool scene showing he is alive, and breaks the 4th wall.

» I watched the movie last night

It was ok but they rushed through the story. Some of it was pretty corny unintentionally with the effects and they should have shown Deadpool more with more of the mutants fighting instead of running. Overall though it was fun to watch.

It's based on the comic book. I don't care if the one from the movie is alive or not, I'd rather not ever see him again.

» @Genotype...(Spoiler)...

But the story for Watchmen was almost there to the comics. Origins was way off. They don't even show Logan training with wolves.

@fearlubu that was kind of the point. Marvel never does anything right with their movies. They just cover it up with fantastic visual effects.

I have the same issue as papajag....me and my buddy have read all the wolverines from issue 1 and he said the movie was horrible. So I am not even going to bother with it till there is a DVD rip.

Anyways, it is horrible when they change a character so much just to please the movie going crowd.

Seriously, you couldn't have the coolest character from X-men come from canada.....
