Rainbow Six VegasTom Clancy's Rainbow Six series, is finally gracing the screens of PSPs everywhere with Ubisoft's six person squad game, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas.

The game is currently being developed by Ubisoft's studio in Quebec City and will be available during the holidays. The story is set to parallel the next-generation versions of the game, but of  course, the PSP version will feature exclusive content.

Here are other key PSP features:
  • Tag-Team Gameplay : In single player mode you're able to play as both field operative and sniper.
  • Tactical Observation : You basically have the ability to use high tech equipment like snake cams to check out a room, strategically plan out assaults before taking terrorists down.
  • Take Cover : You can switch to third person view while taking cover. This allows you to examine the situation to before you make your next move.
  • Tailored Control System : controls are specifically designed to fit the PSP.
  • Unlockable Content : Play good, get rewarded. A standard in any game looking for replay value.
  • Terrorist Hunt Mode : This mode allows you to hone your skills. The gameplay in this mode is simple. Enter single-player maps and hunt down spawning terrorists one at a time.
  • Multiplayer : Allows you and five of your buddies to fight together via wireless (Ad
  • Hoc) or online play (Infrastructure) in Survival and Team Survival multiplayer
    modes.
A main feature of the game involves protecting Vegas as the city 'finds itself in chaos.' Terrorist hunts, the ability to switch quickly to your snipers, a take-cover feature, Vegas in Chaos... it's probably safe to assume that a lot of riot control is in this game.

If you want a preview, and get an idea of what the game might look like on your PSP, you could check out this trailer for the console versions of this game.

Anyway, we'll keep you updated as soon as we get more info.

Finally a franchise that will help the PSP with sales. I love tactical shooters and it SHOULD be a sweet port if they don't rush it
